Developing a bit of a problem. I still need a pair of VM001 Suede Highs...

I would love to own a pair of hi's in these but for some reason I struggle to get my foot in them. The lo's fit perfect so I am unsure. Must just be me and hi tops.

I would think canvas breathes better. Currently skating the 001s and holy shit my feet get sweaty on them. Never had problem with any other shoe but these ones get so fucking hot.

They skate good tho

what are the pro's of the canvas? always thought suede would just be a stronger material

Canvas shoes are breathable and don’t tend to get baggy and lose their shape over time like suede does. If you can be bothered to shoe goo them they tend to be better, but I usually just get suede because it’s easier.

I asked and they confirmed that the height of the insoles would not change, so good news in my eyes.

Bought two shoes from the latest drop and currently skating the old red Vm001 Lows:

After two sessions I have to say that performance-wise I prefer the hightops, but look-wise the lows suit me a lot better.
Also the low versions seem a bit looser on the foot. I have to wear thicker socks whenever I am skating the lows

I have some questione about the vm001 highs as ii would love to skate something skater owned which isnt a blazer mid. Which insole would be the best to put in instead of the stock insole? The zoom insole seems to be similar in shape. And would i loose ankle stability if i exchange the insoles?

I've run a set of nike Solarsoft(?) insoles (pulled from a pair of Nike Chron SLRs) and a pair of the new Vans Popcush insoles from the new Skate Vans, both are fine. Just getting something with a bit more cushion helps.

I run lows with footprint kingfoam elites. Little tight at first but great after few sessions

I got the footprint gamechangers, can't recommend them enough. I've just put them over the original ones, works perfect.

003 don’t have padding around the heal though so that is kinda a major difference …

Dope! Do you use the low, mid or high king foam elites?

Finally succumbed to the pressure and removed my stock insoles.

Put in the cons cx foam insole from some ctas and they improve it massively. Don't know why I didn't do it earlier

Atlas got VM003 in stock but lists it as having a leather sockliner and insole. The Instagram posts from Last Resort said that they're vegan. Does anyone know what's up with them or should I go to the vegan shoe thread?

I’m pretty sure that leather is synthetic even on the suede ones. I always wear down the edge of it with my ollies and it has a sort of black rubbery texture to it under the surface.

Ive always replaced my stock snowboard boot insoles...but not my skate ones. Interesting. What do you guys recommend? I have mid-to-high arches and some shoes give me rub issues on the top of my foot, but not super bad.

I skate the Last Resort canvas exclusively. Vegan and all that.

thanks!!
ok thanks

For mid and high arch, i would recommend kingfoam elite highs.

Thanks! I actually realized I met Nate from Shred Solez at a snowboard camp a couple of weeks ago so decided to look his stuff up to see if he had skate, and they do! he recommended the kingfoam elites too. Just snagged a pair. Glad you agree!
ok thanks

I have multiple pairs that I skate and I skate the stock insole in one of them. I don't skate anything bigger than a 3 stair so it doesn't affect me that much. I also have the stock insole in all of my daily wear LRABs and they're perfectly comfortable. I don't work on my feet all day but I move around a fair amount.

I don't skate anything big, just a lot of repetitive impact I'd worry about.

I'm skating the suede highs with the stock insoles, I did try taking them out and replacing with a vans popcush but it just didn't feel right.

I find the stock ones fine, but I am a fairly limited, low-impact skater...

I skate the stock insoles but I keep a pair of footprints in my bag in case I need them, I never do though. I only skate transition, biggest impact for me is jumping out of grabs over hips and stuff.

I swap mine out with standard FP Kingfoam insoles. The 30 dollar ones. They make the shoe fit so much better and can take some impact. With such a minimal shoe, I think you need a beefy insole to balance it out. THat's just me tho.
