They're the tallest highs so they can fit big ass wheels. Good kingpin clearance so you don't hang up and body yourself to flat.

I mean Jimmy Wilkins rides Thunder and back in the day I think pros actually rode Fury's

I've heard TTS OR 0.5 down since it's the same sole as  chucks, which everyone typically goes 0.5 down on.

I've noticed more and more men wearing shoulder bags and purse type things, but first saw this with skaters did the trend get started by skaters?

For sure started by skaters. Hip packs in the 80s were really popular with skaters before blowing up too.

What do these non-skaters keep in their bags?

I keep skate tool, wax, and weed in mine.

Is it just weed?

I skate, obviously, but when I'm not skating I typically carry a tote with at least a jacket/sweater and a water bottle in it.

Has any artist here lost the ability to paint and draw. Especially draw?

I fucking can't do it. I can feel the nothing bleeding into my skating too sometimes.

It feels like my bearings are slowing. Then I stop pushing and start tictacing around like my name is Mr 1987 and I'm stuck in the deep end of the egg bowl.

Like some frickin can't run or punch in a nightmare shit. The bricks grabbing at my trucks and shit like fly paper.

I'm guitaring extremely well and writing mad tunes.

I wanna paint a dope thing tho. I throw down my pencil at like 50% there.

Trying to complete a drawing  feels like fucking someone you don't like anymore for longer that the grudge will carry your attention

Yes.
Blame it on lack of practice and being too hard on myself.
Should just draw for fun, but can’t do it anymore.

Yes, but there might be a problem. My experience:
If you put them in boiling water for 1min or less, they will be super soft, but only as long as they are hot.
If you put them in for a few minutes, they will be soft forever, but loose every bit of rebound. Pretty much unusable.

So I'd recommend trying it for maybe 1-2 minutes to start. I did it with indy 88a because they sucked anyway, but now they're mush

Draw what? I like drawing sorta Pictionary style like get an idea and quickly draw it down on a little scrap of paper or something. Try and get the idea down as fast as you can.

i have a paring knife i got from goodwill ages ago that i really like using. it has a fat enough handle to sit in my hand comfortably and i just sharpen it every so often. not the most portable since i don't have a sheath or anything for it, and if i'm out i just have a razor(s) on me anyway.

tl;dr- i like paring knives personally

Regular penknife does the job, break the joints when it get blunt or swap out the blades as needed. Narrow enough so you get a clean cut, just make sure you get a big enough one, the blade on the tiny ones flex making the cut a chore.

Pre-Brexit I flew roundtrip Manchester to Toulouse with a board, no problems there. It was on Thomas Crowne though which is a budget airline that no longer exists

Does anyone know, why almost every vert skater uses independent trucks? I suppose most of them ride tight trucks, so turning might not be the answer?

Because Indy is/was the only one caring to sponsor vert skaters

All of the above I think.

Lots of vert guys ride pools too and Indys def grind the best on curbs/pool coping imo. Not trying to start a truck war in here, I recognize the pros/cons of all trucks. That is my shoes and gear section disclaimer.

Another reason could possibly be Indy always made wide trucks where other brands from the mid 90s until about 2010 didn't make anything over an 8 (often only making a 7.5 and a 7.75). Not so much vert but guys like drehoble, Speyer, Cardiel all rode ventures but swapped over to Indy.

Fury def had pretty much every big vert skater and was maybe sort of Lance's thing but I never saw any wide pairs until the brand was basically already dead. They also had pretty much every big name street skater too if it means anything.  Kinda the truck version of ricta

Found this cool t-shirt with a formula car graphic. It says "Bluelight high performance skateboard wheels"

Does anyone know anything about this brand?

Are the Baker B2 "steep" decks actually steep since their normal decks are hella mellow? What other brands or shapes would you liken them to?
