Anyone in Aus had any experience with PLATI decks? They're pretty cheap on sale but I can't find a single review online. The decks I'm looking at say Resin construction and have a carbon fibre layer, and they say that they are produced by "one of the worlds top skateboard manufacturers" which leads me to believe they're probably from Dwindle, but they don't have any avenue to ask. The company makes their own bearings, trucks and wheels as well which is puzzling me with such little info on them.
I had a look over that whole site and although things seem reasonable, they do also seem like a budget outfit, so I guess for the price, they are quite reasonable for their boards.
Can't even think how many people over the years have started their own skateboard brand, got boards, got other product made and everything, but then when no one really wants it, they tend to go on clearance and fizzle out, sometimes in a short period, other times lasting a little longer but more often than not, it is the same result.
Maybe get a deck or two, see how they go, then get more if you like them and let us know.
I would think the decks would be the best option anyway. The bearings would probably work well enough, maybe the wheels too, or even the completes for a beginner to intermediate level skater, so give them a go.
Based in Melbourne, as per their site.
