Does anyone know the WB of the fiberglass ones? It's not listed on the Heated Wheel website, but the they (flex) are a bit shorter than others...wondering if WB is also shorter.

Hand painted a polarizer as a gift for a friend

That’s rad.

I’m good friends with Pete (Pete’s Pigs), and he also just gave me a heads-up on these. Good stuff!

You may have thought of this already, but in case not…

I run ThePastParticiple on IG. While most of the photos are user submitted, I mine them, too. If I see a worthy photo somewhere (e.g. on a web forum), I just screen capture the photo, and take note of the source to cite when posting. Sure, if you can get the actual user on IG, that’s great, but not always an option.

To be clear, I wasn't saying I would find/produce/mine content for you. I was showing, by way of example, how you could source and cite content without having to ask someone else do the work for you (e.g. "Can you please send this thing already posted to me?). Just screen capture image, and post it yourself (while giving credit to the photo source).

Rode one of these for years with a set of early 90s Slimeballs until the trucks broke, great ride. Just re-set it up with a pair of penny trucks, but would really like to replace the OG trucks, just not the easiest thing to find. Might have to buy this one off eBay just for the trucks.

Will standard risers (like the ones you'd buy from independent website) work with these tiny trucks? This thread is very inspiring, and I've always wanted an excuse to buy some OJ's Super Juice, but I'm concerned about wheelbite. Maybe it's not even an issue? Definitely gonna be building a polarizer soon either way.

:( I've got a bit of a backup plan in making my own wood risers, but not sure how that's gonna go. I guess I'll find out if I even need the risers first haha. Anybody ever put their bolts in upside-down 80's style so they can still get leverage on these things? I used to have a cruiser board with upside down bolts and I kinda loved it.

Leverage...for what? If you're doing much more than carving, IMHO, you're kind missing the Polarizer point.

I've used 60mm wheels on ACS 430s with no wheel bite. I assume other makes of trucks are a similar height. The narrow width of the trucks means the end of the axles don't get as close to the deck as wider trucks.

Hmm... Point taken buuuut screw da rulez. May Neil Blender himself curse me. I'm kinda just curious what it would feel like. As am I curious what a polarizer itself feels like.

Well I was gonna get 55mm and the trucks from Neil's website so I guess I'll be good. Thanks!

Eh, I was gonna but then I figured I might as well get the vanilla experience first. Don't think I'll do it now - kinda sketchy with how bendy the board is. My friend was trying kickflips on it and I was like be careful! Old skool kickflips work amazingly tho haha.

I was watchin some polarizer vids last night and I think I gotta get those bones soft bushings.

Tried a Polarizer yesterday. Don't really get it. The guy explained that it's so you don't get the urge to do a kickturn and have to carve. Ok..

I really think you need the right terrain to get the most out of them.

Kinda fun to carve around parks on, but flat ground, mellow banks and small transition with rolled edges are the best for these things.
