That rubbed me the wrong way as well. I'll admit that I definitely smoked weed with adults at the skatepark when I was underage, but it was never on camera or anything. It was kind of known that it wasn't ok to make that shit public. In hindsight, it was definitely reckless and sketchy for adults to be giving weed to teenagers at the skatepark, even though these spaces have always been sort of a free for all. With that being said, its weird to see him openly defending this behavior to the skateboarding community at large. In my opinion, he should have refrained from commenting on that part of the situation.

I mean it's been normalized in skating for quite a while. The young guys on Baker definitely partied with the rest and we're not crucifying them over it. Personally I'd never smoke out underage skaters but it's definitely been happening before.

tbh guys, his singing is probably the best piece of art I've seen/ heard from him. his voice isn't GREAT but it seems like he has an understanding of pitch and rhythm, and that's half the battle. if he absolutely quit doing everything else; shut down his company, stopped making movies, moved on from skating, grew a sense of self awareness, ate the biggest slice of humble pie ever, and then dedicated 10 years of his life day in and day out to become a musician he probably could.
