Tried Cons and DC just to learn, again, that NB# is the best for me.

What’s your verdict on fit/feel/etc

Just had my first session in them and I'm a big fan. I know some people aren't a fan of this sole and I understand why, but I really like it. Great board feel and pretty much ready to go right out of the box. Fit really well and feel good on my feet. I was a little apprehensive about buying them online because I'm not always the biggest fan of leather, and some of the leather Lakais I've gotten in the past just fit really weird. But these fit just like all of the other suede shoes I've had from them. I was between skating these and a leather pair of Westgate 508's but these honestly fit and feel better than the Westgates. I've tried to walk around to break those in but the heel slip is the worst I've ever had in any shoe and I don't think it's going to get any better. Idk what I'm even going to do with them which is a bummer. But the Terrace fit great immediately. Also it says these are cream/pine on the box which I'm not sure why considering they're bright white. Only one session in so far but right now I'm a big fan.

Thanks for that!   It is surprising they’re bright white, every photo gives them a grey tinge

No problem. I was just looking at them again and in certain light they do have a bit of a greyish tint due to the fact that it's green suede underneath. So over time they'll probably start looking more greyish. It is a pretty thin bit of leather on top of the green suede, but the leather is most certainly white as white can be.

Are these worth the price?    I’m a little wary, especially because it’s a Hansel shoe
[close]

They’re a good in between shoe, if my toes weren’t horrendous I’d wear normal ass sandles honestly

Is there something about these that makes them better than a croc? I love my crocs for slipping on / chilling and allowing my feet to breath after a skate sesh. Is that why people rock these ? Just a classier version ?

It could totally just be freak accidents/my own fault, but I’ve had my 3rd ankle roll in tyshawns along with a few teaks here and there. So my question is could it be a shoe prone to ankle rolls and have others experienced a higher frequency of sprains in them? Anyone have shoes they recommend that are harder to get ankle rolls in?

Shoes that have a solid raised heel like the TJ, Busenitz, NB480, and Asics Japan have always been more prone to rolling for me. Basically since it doesn't flex when my ankle travels beyond the apex caused by the hard heel it almost accelerates ankle roll.

I've got no issues with ankle rolling with any shoe where the sole cups the heel. Half Cabs, almost any NB, Jordan's are all good but I also use aftermarket insoles to help this even more.

Idk

I like the Tyshawns for the fact that they’re thick enough that you can just throw out any flip trick and it won’t hurt your foot if you land primo or stomp too hard. Eventually it breaks in enough that you get a lot of board feel. The previous shoe I skated was the 440 but that was too thin. Been on the Tyshawns since 2021.

I don't really primo and they never had great board feel for me, epically disappointed in the pair I had.

50% off at PacSun, how could I not???

Hate to admit it, but I just got some from there too. Your post and how much fun I've had in my few pairs made it too difficult not to cop.

There is one more pair of Sage white/navy ones I'm going to buy from my local next paycheck if they're still there. I can't get enough of these things right now. A little shoe goo and these are just as durable as any suede shoe I've skated.

I really want those shoes and also I need info about your pants 8)

Butter Goods Selector denim and then I added elastic to the cuffs with a cord lock so the openings are adjustable, which I do to most of my pants.

Thank you! They look amazing. I can’t find those Converse in Japan. I’m going to Europa in 2 months and I can’t find them there. Are they USA only shoes? :o

Here in EU you can easily find them with a quick Google search

Then I will try to search on Google when I’m in Europe. The results are very different when searching from Japan. Thank you!

If you'll be in CZ I can send you some links.

Hi! I will be in Portugal and Spain but I can buy from European Union if the shop can ship to Spain. Thank you!

Felt bold enough to rock these, though it's not my first choice or favorite colorway to rock. I'd much rather darker/less loud colors, but I'm gonna skate em so its chill.

Forgot to snap a pic on feet tho

May even paint the blue black and go semi custom red/black/white AJ 1 inspo

Blew through my H&M Chucks pretty fast, so I decided to give the real deal a try.  Haven’t skated them yet, not sure how they’ll hold up, but damn they feel nice.  It’s weird because I don’t really love how Chuck Taylors look off foot, or on non-skaters who lace them up like boxing boots, but I always think they look amazing in skate footage.

808s are fuckin weird dude they took forever to break in and gave me blisters on the arch of one of my feet but 2-3 weeks in and that's gone. they have a kinda gross amount of heel slip but other than that they're great to skate in. the outsole tread is starting to get alarmingly worn down at this point too. the lynx ogs I had before em lasted at least a month before the tread really started to go

Heel up goes away after like 1 week in my experience but I agree with you, they're weird but my feet also are so is a good match for me.

just had my 1st sesh in the 808s and agree the break in is real, especially in the arches was like a boa constriction for me. But as the sesh went on and I loosened them up a bit they felt better, I like to think they helped me get my first crook on a ledge since injury :) really like the look down and grey on these

lmaooo. they're not bad, they're actually pretty solid, supportive, and comfy after breaking them in but they definitely take the longest to break in out of any shoe I've skated. I will say that in the grey and the red/white/blue colorways they look the best out of any skate shoe nb has made other than the Reynolds 480s
