When you clearly ask for no pickles, then you bite down on a Pickle. Yuk! Also tinypic just closed down their website and all my pictures got deleted. There asking me to pay $7.99 a month to photobuket. But it ain't worth it.
Anyone know what photo sharing site that's best for SLAP?

Edit: It's not I hate pickles. It's just they need to be brined right in a mason jar. Just like my Grandma and Mom made/make.

*Flickr works for me

I came here to complain but damn man sorry you got side swiped! Diy body work isn't fun either

Anyone else deal with dash cams in work trucks?
Might lose this job if they aren't bluffing about how much they can see and when they can see it.. If I lose my job because I covered the cam with my hat to piss in a bottle.. Well, I'll be pissed out ov a job

Recently at Ross I had found a set of Janowskis shoes and Volcom dress type of slacks, went to try on the pair of pants and you guy's know how they have 3 or 4 type of mirrors to see your kit at all angles? Well I was checking out my backside and the pants.

I have not just a bald spot but a quite a big one that my hair sometimes over shadows.  I don't like having mirrors in my house not because of some stupid superstition just the one in the bathroom for shaving purposes, no length mirror for vanity just a simple one.  I have had long hair for most of my adult life and I see older dudes embracing their baldingness. I don't regret anything nor am I going look like a weirdo Hulk Hogan type of skullet, I'd rather just embrace baldness instead of some dipshit with a ponytail.
Is it actually a bald spot or did they have ten lights at skull level close to your head? I always freak out and get scared that I'm going bald because the apartment I moved into has like those backstage makeup lights. They are 3 big bulbs right above my head that are so bright they make it look like I'm balding because the light cuts through all the hair. Then I feel my hair with my hands, still very thick, I look at old pictures, and I have my girlfriend inspect my scalp and nothing is actually changing. Just the crazy amount of light at eye level.

yooo same, I was aware my hair was thinning, but due to a lack of mirrors in my house didn't realize how bad my hair had gotten until I saw footy of myself skating without a hat on and it was BAD, shaved my head the next day. Luckily buzzing/biccing your head is an acceptable hairstyle in skateboarding hahaha
[close]
See I haven't gotten to that point of biccing my head yet but I will be vigilant about keeping my remaining hair tight especially from getting a cul de sac or a Dr. Phil.

As much as I like to think it is rad having that youthfulness it looks sketchy and tweakerish if you are in a full day session and thinning hair all greasy. nawww I am good rather keep it tight and proper much like a skinhead looks good with short cut so is mine.

haha a lot of people don't realize this and it looks worse then what they would imagine they look like bald or shaving their head anyway. No problem becoming a silver fox but I'm hoping I avoid baldness

Last night I went to this skate event and got super fucking frustrated not being able to land a trick and kids getting in my way. I text my gf that I was frustrated and she text me back about her dress. I told her today how I felt about last night and she assumed that I was sexually frustrated and since she was out drinking that that I influenced her reaction. She calls me telling me she wants to talk but I couldn't cuz I was watching football with friends. But I told her that I would call her back. When I did she told me it was childish how I didn't finish the talk with her earlier even though I told her I would call her back. I'm upset that she thought it was childish that I took longer than she expected to call back.

Homie gashed his shin down to the bone yesterday, seen him eat shit and grab his shin so I cruised over and seen the shit down to the bone before the blood started. Fucking awful shit but he took it like a champ, got 12 stitches and walked the fuck out of A&E.

Sorry chief I wished it was the lights fuck that'd have saved my fragile ego but sadly no.  I asked my wife to be honest with me and usually she'll bend the truth to spare my feelings from being hurt. She did the hand wave of kinda I don't want to lie to you it makes no difference to me, I still love you bald or not. which I had to accept that it was true.

In hindsight I regret nothing and am just accepting it for what it is, haven't gotten to the point of biccing my scalp but from now on I am using the smallest guard on my clippers when needing a haircut.

My dad had thinning hair all his life, yeah you could see bald spots around the crown of his skull but it was wispy flowy type of hippie hair, to me I'd rather keep it short and proper just enough to see grey fox look definitely.

Slash finally figured it out, he looks better with short hair then being a greasy tweaker.

Yeah saw it briefly before the blood started rushing, shit just looked like dark red/black void with this white shit at the bottom. I'd already had a bit to drink and didn't feel too great but seeing that made me want to throw the fuck up.

Ain't gonna embed it cus it's pretty grim but if you wanna see it

Nah a shinner alone didn't do that, he had some weird setup going on involving a kicker to ledge and then a wooden kicker on top of the ledge, think he was trying to wallie up on top then boost off the wooden kicker and something somewhere fucked up, he ate shit and had the worst luck in the world as the sheet metal edge of it came down and gashed him.

Puff, that sux, that really sux because I know you were on a health trip and I know you're a skate rat through and through.
Feel free to vent here all you like, or PM if it all gets too much! A lot of us on here have probably been told at one point or another that we'd never be able to skate again and we now skate again so don't give up all hope just yet!

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

I haven't posted on SLAP in ages, I've been too depressed to even look at my skateboard. I had to hide it behind my dresser. Looking at it makes me cry uncontrollably. I got diagnosed with stage 4 chondromalacia patellae a couple of months ago. Then yesterday they said I have severe osteoarthritis. It hurts so bad just to stand up. I'm 30 years old and always took good care of my body. Rarely drank, didn't smoke, did yoga and hit the gym like a fucking square, wasted hundreds on knee cartilage supplements. For nothing. The doctors said it's normal for really active women. I always knew life isn't fair, but holy fucking shit. I've broken two toes, my ankle, my index finger and my foot, but they don't compare to this pain. I love skateboarding more than anything. Skate or die, right? I want to die. And I just learned 360 flips before all this. Damn...

Evidently this is what fucked knees look like, I thought they looked fine when I got a copy of my MRI.

All that white shit is bits floating cartilage which feel like burning broken glass.

Drinking is my only escape and I have really bad kidneys. But at this point, I don't care. Fuck it all.

Thanks for listening to my pity party, it feels good to vent. Though I probably sound so stupid and like I'm a whiny little bitch.
Dang that sucks, sorry to hear about that..... I have those moments where I get angry at myself and say I want to quit.
Like GISM said feel free to vent albeit PM, or whatever.

It helps when times are tough I was outside my stepdad's room when he decided to end it all. The aftermath was nightmare inducing but it helped having others to vent to.

Feeling very limited on skating, career wise, out here in the midwest, showing your face to the world when you arent skating the stuff you want feels dumb. Need to keep searching but feels almost like writers block being back in my hometown. Need more unique terrain and the flat Midwest seems to be holding me back

My relationship is in a bad place and I think i subconsciously want to end it. Literally got into an argument about believing in the power of the moon at the bar last night. Seems like a bad sign

You never really know a person till you live with them. Had a few instances back in my day that reminded me of  this sentiment. Gals can be just as slobs as dudes. I remember I got into an argument about it as she had lots of panties piled up in my closet, I asked  "hey what is going on with this pile"? I could sell them to some creepers?  instantly she got super mad and barraged me with insults and accusations of shit I wasn't even thinking of.  Had to move out and take my quiver of gear with me, I hate living with people in general it's usually me duffel bag of gear and a few boards and I collect shit again.

idk how the fuck it happened but lil homie came out alive, i thought due to his age (13 next week) and general deteriorating health they'd put him down for sure. got some antibiotics for his anal glands and a full checkup next week, so fingers crossed.

That’s great I’m stoked for you guys make sure you cook a good steak for him.

my bubby had tummy cancer and it was a crucial time for me to figure out my life, I had to make the final call as the meds would have been super expensive.  I wish I could have done something different but most times they don’t have a good survival rating.
