KSL would work better on the tongue
When you lace them up completely the shoe strings cover it up. I was worried about it too, but it's not a thing if you use the top eyelets.
I bet even if you don't use the top eyelets it would only be readable if you really look at them? Keep in mind when you actually tie your shoes it "adds" a row of lace.
I'm really liking the shoe btw. Was taking impact well... But doesn't feel overly bulky to me.
I've never skated a good cup sole before, but these feel so much more "responsive" than the vulcs I've skated. Vulcs can kind of just mush/conform to the board rather than resist the board. These feel soft in terms of impact but hard in terms of staying rigid and controlling the board without absorbing/nullifying your actions.
Maybe that will go away after I skate them more, but I'm really liking these shoes so far.
