To this day, it surprises me when talking about shoes to other skateboarders that many don't know the difference between cupsole and vulc still and can't really tell the difference (apparently).
People have told me they can only skate vulc shoes, then I look down and they're skating cupsoles like Romero Laced or something.

Yonnie skated the Fremont a lot and then he switched to the Vulc version. I think he had a colorway when the Vulc model first came out.

Doesn’t get me excited at all. Colorblocking fine but some generic lifestyle/runner collar mesh one piece tech not getting me excited. No way it fits properly as it’s one piece and no tongue. Just laces saving it.

4real, I've been back on cupsoles since I started skating the Herman G6 back in 2014. Have had like 2 vulcs and the difference is pretty abismal.More protection and comfort, and Im also kind of a pussy so I feel insecure  if I can feel my board too much.

Yep that's the Veer Slip On. Sole is a little techy, interesting to see anything other than a straight vulc sole on a slip on. I'm not into Etnies, but they look pretty good. Might be the cupsole slip on ya'll been waiting for.

On a side note did anyone see the Josh Kalis ad from this month's thrasher?  It's got the og Kalis, the Kalis lite (came out about two years ago, similar to the original but it's got these weird chunky blocks for tread -to me, stranger still, they were the ones he were wearing in the ad)
Then the Kalis s which I think came out last year

He's had four ads in the last, I wanna say, eighteen months, more than any other DC pro... Even Evan Smith, Tristan funkhouser, or tiago leamos (sp)...i mean for shits sake chase Webb is good as fuck, had that flat earth part and still I think he's only had one ad meanwhile this geriatric dude has had four (which, incidentally, is fucking awesome Kalis is my fourth favorite skater of all times) ads..  Awesome backside nose blunt (on my motherfucking wall),then a noseblunt on a 🐷 mobile look alike, tre on flat at that funky Chicago sculpture, the red one, that features at the beginning of his mindfield part, and now this three flip over a giant pawn at the same spot (Philly courthouse I think) as the backside noseblunt...

Anyway, now they've got a Kalis vulc... Can anyone here imagine Josh motherfucking Kalis skating in vulcanized shoes!   Haha, that was one of the things that John shanahan said (or had said about him)in thrasher some months back,  "bring a second outfit in case the spot doesn't match your outfit, have at least one original droors clothing article in your kit,  'if you show up in vulcs you're out of the crew'"
