Have any of you skated the Vans Ultrarange Pro II?



They look like just what I want. Good toe shape, good tongue and ankle, a traditional cupsole without foxing tape that would screw up my flick, and a two piece toe cap (although not stitched)... I cannot stand to look at one piece toe caps (I know I'm in the minority.) Somehow I never noticed this model. They are kinda dorky but I'm kinda dorky 

I'm sure most Vans folks wouldn't be in to this model but have any of you technical cupsole folks tried this one out?

I couldn’t even get my foot in the 1. Wonder if they changed the fit.

Holy shit that happened to me too, it was hella hard to get my feet in at first in the shoe (should have gone half a size up) and they were painful after a few hours of skating. after like a week or 2 of stretching them before skating and trying to break them in, I can vouch that those shoes (Ultrarange Pro 1) are some of the best shoes I've skated. Sole is hella durable, super supportive, look awesome. Hopefully they might have fixed the issues they had with the 1s

Went half a size up in the first ultrarange pros and I actually really liked them. Durable, supportive, and the laces didn’t fray due to how they were placed on the shoe. They were the only pair of Vans I didn’t regret trying

Interested as well. Removable insole?

The 1st version had a glued in insole, cheap foam, maybe Orthholite. Midsole was also super firm and had zero cushioning. I'd suggest trying them on first if you're looking for something cushy.

It's cause the Supra is committed to the lacing system, the traditional lace holes on the Nike make it look like some faux-brogue patterning, and clash with the rest of the design.

Also, they panelling looks like the Lakai Camby. But also worse.

This shoe overcompensates for Shane's personality by having at least 3 of it's own.

Nobody has given up on anything. Dickson was very involved with the process of his shoe and it's what he wanted and likes to skate in. Not really trying to defend anything here but there is more to the shoe that meets the eye. See that rubber strip on the side? That rubber is underneath the suede and goes all the way to the toe cap called "Flick Shield" so if you end up ripping through the suede, you still have a big piece of rubber preventing you from getting a hole through the shoe. That burgundy colorway is also made with pig suede which is a stronger suede made by the midwest boot company Wolverine which is another thing Jon was stoked on being from the midwest.

And for those who care we actually just got a new shoe designer who we are stoked on and are in the process of putting out some rad stuff here in 2020.
