I've been on a wild hunt for them for months, but I can only ever find the checkerboard ones in Canada. The black ones would be an insta-buy. The olive ones are fine too.

I was talking to my friend who works for Vans yesterday and he got himself a pair and while the sole looks very similar to the AVE, it's not the exact same and apparently is kinda hard and not as good for skating as the AVE.

A bunch of “instafamous” skaters are skating this brand now, I’ve seen a few like Gustavo Ribeiro and even a clip from Mike Vallely. Not sure if they are actually sponsoring people or just flowing shoes.

I'd buy a pair of those cariuma's but 80-9 bucks is pretty steep for what they are offering. Must be really comfy?

I guess I'm curious even tho I know I'd rather get some adidas campus advs for 80 ( but might get Coronado's instead...cant make up my mind).

Just FYI, the Coronados look dope (I have a pair, ordered online), but there is not much to the shoe. The tongue and side panel with the perforated stripes is one layer of suede no backing. They have a shitty glued in insole. I was hoping for a little more cushion all around but as thin as they are mine are going to be just for chilling. Also, I wear a 10.5 in Vans Pros, had to go 11 in the Coronados.

Looked like cup in the catalog. I dont see any reason to bring them back as a vulc anyways, they had the newport hi. Its not like anyone is really dying for a high top vulc

If lakai strategy is to make an affordable and buyable dunkalike shoe with the same colorways i'm all for it. It makes sense as it's in skateboard industry dna to copy/reinterpret products from corporate brands. Also Nike sb has nothing to offer besides blazers and dunks that cannot be bought...
