I had mixed feelings but I think it’s an instant cop for me since I can get rid of that plastic drawstring thing, and tie them normally. I’m curious as to how the side of the sole wears and supporting AD dudes is another plus.

Muska reissue and Civilist half cab both have that drawstring thing.   Must be the new trend this year

the butter kalis ogs from last year also had that but they did it to the extreme. aesthetically I think it fits the muska but on a half cab it sounds ridiculous. there's only a handful of shoes that can pull it off imo, the most undeniable of which would probably be Jordan 5s

Yes, because no other shop, or Quasi/Vans rider, is promoting it. I spent an hour scouring Instagram and shop sites to find them, without any luck.

They’re cheaper, available, and the logo is not that big. I understand that Dunk Highs are more available than 2-3 years ago. However, the larger sizes usually sell quickly, so it isn’t an option for some people.

new mantecas look very good. i have some super old ones from way back and they are clunky and blocky compared to the newer ones. this is a reissue done well.

As someone else already said, a Romero Laced with some heel/ankle/Achilles protection is the addition that shoe has always been craving. Not really into the Royal Elastics look of that iteration, but would love if they built it into the existing Romero Laced

I ran my pair of the laced with laces and I remember them hurting my ankle. Really stoked on these.

They're almost perfect, I don't like the black print on the side because it looks like it's going to break in 3 days. It's exclusive from the Arnold colorway or the print is on the other colorways?
