The grey Rowan 2s are OK I guess, but yeesh those black ones look horrendous.

Things might have worked a little better on the model if the midsole was one solid color, as in no black creeping in from the bottom.

His first pro model were Kohl’s inspired, it’s just the classic Kohl’s shoes we’re thinking of we’re usually not vulc. They usually had weird, clunky cupsoles which is why his second pro model reminds you of them so much.

This Kohls Vans slander is something else. I had countless pairs of them growing up and those fuckers were tanks. The Rowan 2s are a breath of fresh air from Vans. I actually would pick up a pair depending on the price.

This bums me out. I got the black canvas Authentic Hi when they first released a few years back. They're nice to skate but not worth $100 whatsoever. $80 for Slip Ons and $90 for Old Skools is also ridiculous.

That would be the only acceptable sole for a cupsole Half Cab as well in my opinion.

Bought the griffin gass shoe, actually two pairs, the wear away white ones and the black ones, good cupsole, I’ve never had the lakai xlk sole but it’s comfortable enough, the toe is pretty pointy coming off Air Force 2s, I’ve been in the middle of a move this week and have had walk more than usual but they both have broke in quite nicely, if you are looking for a wider shoe this is not the shoe for you. Both my pinky toes have been rubbing slightly on the side of the shoe, I have a thinner foot so its definitely a form fitting silhouette, haven’t gotten to skate them yet since I’ve been moving but I feel like they are gonna be a good ass shoe

I'd rather throw my money at whatever NB brings out or just another pair of Adidas. Inflation is one thing, but $100 for a basic hi-top vulc shoe is absurd. Vans had to lower all their prices back to pre-pandemic levels just to get people to buy again. Like every model, just wait until they go on sale for over 50% off in a month.
