Concrete-visionary’s sale is up
15$ crupies
24$ colours deck
34.99 fp shoes
Those are some insane prices on boards, any idea on the dimensions (WB) and which woodshop they are from?
I think they're all 14.25 wb (all the ones I've seen on other sites are listed as 14.25). I have no idea about the wood shop but at those prices it pretty much has to be chinese wood right? There were a few guys on here who got them last time they were on sale but I don't recall anyone giving an opinion on them one way or another. I might take the plunge but I just can't feel confident about buying a "carbon fiber" board for $30 no matter who's endorsing it.
Probably not taking the plunge with the boards, the wheels though, at $15 each seem like they are a good gift for homies. They don't lurk Slap or follow Ben Degros religiously (praise be his name), so as long as they are white and skinny I doubt they will complain.
In Ben we trust.
I got a set of slightly used crupies in a wheel lot I bought on ebay a while ago and they were decent. Not quite at the F4/STF level but definitely better than most shop wheels. They're not the most comfortable ride but they slide fairly well. The issue I had with them was the shape. They were super skinny - like an anorexic version of a spitfire classic skinny - and that just doesnt work that well on the rough, cracked, debris covered streets I do most of my skating on. I ended up donating them, but if you live somewhere with smooth ground or primarily skate parks or ramps then I would definitely pay $15 for them.
Also forgive me if someone already posted this, but Coda has a decent little sale going on. $35 boards and $25 Jivaro wheels as well as fair prices on Indy standards/reds/jessup. I grabbed a board and a set of wheels and it came out to right around $70 after shipping so it's not like a black friday blowout or anything but still a good deal. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think they use Chapman wood for their boards.
