The boards are PGI, not BBS. Unless they changed it up recently.
I'm not sure what kind of wood it is to be honest, they're listed as BBS in the woodshop thread and they do have the little alignment divot between the front truck holes but no stickers or anything. I could definitely see it being PGI since they tend to be pretty mellow and have that same kind of stiff feeling.
For what it's worth, the customer service is really good. I ordered an 8.25 and they sent me an 8.5 by accident and are now sending me a replacement 8.25 completely free.
They are PGI
Yeah you're right, I got the replacement 8.25 today and it's the same mold as the PGI Maxallure deck I have. I actually like it quite a bit...it's a little heavy but it's stiff, has good pop, and I like flat decks. Just goes to show that despite what a bunch of indy purists think, just because it's from China doesn't mean its automatically bad. I'll skate this over Prime wood any day.
Didn't PGI do Girl decks a few years back? I know they do some of Consolidated's stuff, Maxallure, and I think maybe Visual too? (not positive on that one).
