F4s have the wheel market mindshare (and rightfully so) so bones and OJs land in second and third place respectively; it's going to take something pretty epic for either of those camps to gain market share at this point. Bones could work on team, are people still buy gravette, decenzo wheels

I'd probably ride OJs more if they brought back the Universal Shape (pretty much a bones V5).

Some good Ricta sale options too, people sleep on them these days but the last few years (after the Rapido line) the thane has really improved...basically a less plasticy feeling hard ass wheel (if you've ridden the OJ elites, basically that feel but slicker); plus that conical slim shape is fucking tits.

Ah interesting, sounds good to me. I'm not familiar with what Ricta is doing these days besides Clouds. Do they have a "goto" urethane branding (a la: F4, STF, Elite) to differentiate from their budget wheels?

They have Speedrings, Naturals, Sparx, and Cored. It looks like Sparx might be their budget wheel? But I'm not really sure what differentiates the other 3 in terms of actual utility? Are Speedrings and Cores just gimmicks?

Do people really buy a favorite pro’s wheel? I can understand if they offer something different like Kader’s Spitfire wheel or the Rollersurfer Bones wheel, but I can’t imagine buying like Tom Knox SML wheels just because I like his skating.

The Kalis Vulcs are great value at $25, I'd avoid the canvas / Refibra ones if you drag hard on your griptape, blew mine apart in 2 sessions while the suedes easily last 2-3 weeks before I need to break out the Shoe Goo.

Wearing the Mids now and they are fantastic, only downside is the laces are short so you can't lace up to the top.
