I recommend the round rail.

It’ll be better for your skating overall. The flatbar almost hanger width. I don’t find basic tricks very satisfying.

just ordered that flat rail, not round. Figured my youngest son will enjoy learning tricks landing into grass to start, but mostly me since I really suck at flat rail stuff. But yeah I told my wife it's for my son.

Grew up skating the element flatbar, definitely great for kids to learn on, but round rail is where its at now. Wish I didn't live in a apartment otherwise would be all over that sale
