A local shop (in Finland) reserved a portion of their Chicago Dunks to be sold only in exchange for a well skated in pair of old shoes that would be sent to Nike to create new postconsumer materials, in addition to the "no box, wear them out of the store" policy. Seemed pretty cool, don't know if that was something that was happening all around.

My local did the no box thing for the Strangelove shoes. Too bad the box was nice but, one day I’ll win a raffle for them. It is nice that he had the shoe thing. More places should do that.

They remind me (the color) of an old photo of Rick Howard I think from 1993 from an Independent trucks ad. He was wearing low top Puma's in this type of color. I'll try to insert a photo I found online really quick that is cropped for some reason.

I haven't bought a pair of Nikes in years but these are really tempting. Too bad they'll probably be $100+ and super limited.
