if they ruin standard blazers by GTing them i swear to jod i will continue to not buy blazers
Standard blazers are the only good thing in the Nike Catalog right now, they'd better not ruin it like they did with the low.
If you haven’t tried them and dig the look the gts return is actually a great shoe. It might even be a contender for my favourite sb of all time.
It is definitely a good shoe. I bought a pair on a whim and wasn't totally sold on them, but once broken in, they feel terrific. And honestly, the break in doesn't take that long. The mesh vamp is sturdier than you'd think.
I just can't get over the fact that they are just a steam-rolled version of the airmax 1. Maybe it's cause I grew up around people wearing those shoes a lot, but I just think they look like pancakes, how they gonna do a classic dirty like that? Take some inspiration, sure, it's a nike shoe anyway. But they could also do their job and design something for once, that's all I'm asking. What do the nike sb design team actually do all day except colour in shoe silhouettes that already exist, we've had the blazer, the GT blazer, the dunk, the Ishod dunk, the bruin, the jordan 1 sb, the airforce 2...
And I know I'm in this thread like clockwork saying the same thing every 6 months but i'd love to see a side by side of what the nike sb design team do on the daily and what the adidas skateboarding design team do. Maybe Nike just ran the numbers and realized their skate program doesn't make enough money to warrant them actually paying people to design that many new silhouettes etc.
