I'm hoping that React foam in the Ishod shoe is an actual midsole, not just a cheap shell of a shoe with a thick insole stuck in it like Nike loves to do (i.e. React Bruin, Bruin Hyperfeel, Koston 3, etc.). That's the only thing that would make me pause a little bit on saying that this entire shoe belongs in the garbage.

Do you not like the SB react Bruin? I have a pair and it's one of the best cupsoles I've ever skated.

I can't skate shoes in that style (thin outsole, no midsole, thick insole) because I wear orthotics in my shoes. I'd have to take out the React insole to put my orthotics in, and then there's just no cushioning at all.

Before I wore orthotics, I still didn't like that style of shoe because the outsole is too thin; which makes it feel unstable and unsupportive. The shoes in hand also just feel flimsy and cheap to me. I know some people like that style of shoe because of the flexibility/boardfeel, but it doesn't do it for me. It's a trend that I'm hoping is on the way out.

Force 58's are dope. Skating a pair now and the insole is definitely removable.

I just got mine. I got the plain black/white and hate the lil swoosh on the toe cap. It's one too many swooshes, so I might sharpie mine out.  It looks fine with your white/white shoes.

The insole comes out, it just takes a little peeling.

It’s a pretty standard medium thickness Ortholite insole. It’s glued down, but comes out pretty easily.

How do these fit?

They fit true to size length wise. The toe box is roomy though, like a Dunk or Air Force II, not snug like a Project BA or Nyjah 2.

Ah ok gotcha. I originally just bought them just for the insoles to possibly put in some sb blazer mids, but I kind of fell in love with the feel and grip of the bruin reacts. Without the insole, though, I'm not sure I'd still be a fan.

I’m usually not one to mention or even notice poor quality so much, but those two look really bad. Same with the new laser blue dunks. I’m a huge dunk fan too. Pretty disappointing

Not sure if this was related to the to the fog's since it was right below Tate's post but the quality on the fogs are great. They photo Tate post the toe box and stitching looked all weird. Might have been sample or fugazi.

They are the same quality as the reverse golden rods. Included my on foot, they look better than the holding in hand closet photo posted

Good to know about the quality. they definitely look way better than in that initial photo. Looking so sick on-foot. Definitely have changed my mind and really want to get myself a pair.

And yeah, I keep my thoughts on them. That eyestay is a mess and that 2nd layer around the cupsole looks like that brown packing tape wrapped around the upper. Not feeling it.

I don't mind the silhouette. Not sure about the mesh panel but if they block it the same color as the rest of the upper it probably wouldn't be noticeable. Stoked he's doing something different than what they've been running in the recent lines. This colorway and structure definitely make it look like something out of the 2003-2004 Nike lineup whether it's intentional or not.

I think even by 03-04 these would be going out of style. They remind me of the shitty dad vans/globes/cons me and my friends wore on 99-02 wishing we could afford circas or es. (Altho I do like a breathable shoe so im not completely against them)
