I saw these guys open up for someone a few years ago, they had a white dj with dreads and a puma track suit. It was kinda laughable since I lived through nu metal once and didn’t want to do it again.

Man, I listened to the new Warthog song yesterday and just wasn’t feeling it at all. I’ll give it another chance but I don’t know if I’m super into the more metal direction they’re going.

There was a Power Trip show (in Europe i think?) where it was a sick crowd. He dubbed them all honorary Texans haha i just can’t find the YT now... Legend.

I’ll always adore them, they are all so kind and flat out incredible people.

I remember the first time I saw them was in 2011, and Riley walked out and said, “WERE POWER TRIP FROM DALLAS, TEXAS!” And then they went fucking BALLASTIC.

Every time I saw them play, the opened up that exact same way. They were special, and there will never be another power trip.

Figured I’d share some of my all time favorite tracks of theirs.

I was thinking the other day it's kinda wild how long they have been a band...i mean, considering the lifespan of most bands in 'the scene' now. I did a show for them and Sacred Love around 2010 I think and hadn't really thought about them since
