Outrageous, what is that? Reminds me of maybe 15(?) years ago when longboarding companies got into huge popsicles for a brief minute; I think Brian at Earthwing in NYC used to make em up to 44".

I was inspired by this thread to go dig out an old 9.25" formica top:

I should get this set back up and ride it properly. It's got some wacky slalom wb drillings.

I remember this era. I actually snagged a Skull Skates pop that was 9.25"x34.5" with a 16.5" wb to use to skate some garages (since we dont have hills where I live. I managed to 360 flip that board a few times. I always liked those skaterbilt boards too, the formica looked awesome.

Oh nice, I think I definitely need to get a big popsicle type. We used to skate garages when I was studying away from home as there wasn't a big street scene and no hills. I bought this at the same time as a friend got a regular formica popsicle, definitely a different feeling on coping and ledges but in a nice way imho.

While not quite a 9”, my 8.75/14.5 Black Label has officially become my main ride. Otherly stated, I am officially an “old-guy” skater now. :)

Yes, this is exactly how it would have been if T-800 had landed at the sick spot, instead of that biker bar in T2: Judgement Day.

.

From the DLX thread, but I thought this would be of interest here too.

https://www.tactics.com/tactics/oval-logo-double-driller-shape-skateboard-deck/teal

Not necessarily a DLX product but I found tactics has a blank Grosso shape. I would have thought that would be a proprietary shape for DLX so it's kind of weird to see this tactics version.

Disclaimer:  I know some people don't like Tactics, but it is more about the boards than the shop in this case.

I see Tactics have the shorter Generator 9" board, so if anyone is interested and can't get it from their own local or where ever they would usually get them from, at least they are here too.  The two links are almost blanks anyway, so that makes it easier to just scrape off the small logo, or paint it or whatever, if you are not a fan.

Size        9.0
Width (in):     9.0
Length (in):     32.5
Wheelbase (in):    14.65
Nose Length (in):   7.1
Tail Length (in):    6.875

https://www.tactics.com/tactics/oval-logo-skateboard-deck/yellow

https://www.tactics.com/tactics/trees-skateboard-deck/yellow

Or just the search for 9+ boards, of which there are a few shapes, including the Grosso like shape too.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I have a few modern big boards and a lot of reissues.  I need to take pictures and figure out how to post them on here one day.
Krooked Zip Zogger 10.75 was an odd one that I picked up in a trade.
Street Plant Fat Gonz 11.25 I bought thinking it would be more fun than it was.
Heroin Eggzilla 3 14.25(?) I bought thinking it was the dumbest gimmick ever and actually ride it more than anything I own.

Waiting on a new 10" Antihero "horse pill".  Should deliver to the shop this week.

That’d be pretty close to the barnyard shape or the Blast Skates Koppl pro models yeah?

Fortunately I like my boards as bloated as I am.

Some of the random completes I setup to ride while healing from surgery.  I just thought I would be more able by now.

The Zip Zagger I gave to a local and sold the Alva.  The Gonz and Saiz have been the most ridden since my Achilles tendon was reattached.  The Jinx is my third of this model, but I just can't handle the steep tail at this time.

They pop up now and then. Last year Shin Sanbongi had a 1991 shape. Just have to buy a couple of them when they make them.
