There are a few big board bargains on the Black Label site right now.

https://blacklabelskates.bigcartel.com/

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Just put together a Xmas complete. Dane1, ace 55s Swiss bearings and some 53 f4s that I’ll most likely swap out with some 56s. Still don’t know how to post the pic. Can’t wait to fuck this thing up over the weekend.

You need to put the url with the .jpg between the Insert Image brackets which is the little Mona Lisa icon.
*I don't know the correct terminology.

Looks good.
Enjoy your life.

Polar 9” pop
Classic 55
Well worn F4 Classics

I’ve gone up 0.5” in width and wheelbase over the part few weeks. It feels really good to be back on the 55s, it’s been about 18 months. I previously skated them with 8.5 decks so the 9” is a first for me. What makes this whole thing work for me is wheels about 50mm or smaller. Anything bigger feels too burly.

I love this shape. Been riding the Gonz Sweatpants 9.81 since last year and put on my last spare just this morning. Ordered the Stairs 9.81 as backup, it appears to be the same shape. I hope Krooked will continue to be committed to it.

Here's mine with 169 Indys, 1/8" risers, Bones bushings, F4 99A Tablets 54mm, Bones Swiss:

How do you like Indy 169s on this board? That's usually the only truck I'll ride, but I've been itching to try some Ace Classics. I also only ride F4 OG Classics, so this whole setup is uncharted territory.

I've had two sets of 169s and no other trucks for many years, so I lack the comparison. I remember really liking the Indys when I made the switch from Thunder, but I was still riding popsicles back then. With 9" popsicles the 169s felt perfect and I didn't see any reason to switch things up when I started riding this deck. Everyone around me is raving about Ace but I have been able to resist so far. :)

All these wide board options available but it seems like the ones with noses all have too much concave everywhere and with too steep of a kick.  Boards originally with that width (earliest 90s)  used way flatter molds then what's offered right now.  I hate these fat concaved out tanks.  They're super stiff too.  Hard to snap I guess.
It'd be cool to see a super mellow football series 9.75.  One with a 13.75 and one 14.5.

Anybody have experience with 9” popsicles from Clutch? Looking at a Roger but curious about wheelbase and general shape.

I had a Blood Wizard 9” pop that was Clutch. Very tapered nose/ tail almost pointy. WB was 14.5, length a shade over 32 measuring straight/ not flat on deck.  The thing that bummed me out is that I have 9” Aces and they stuck out- the deck was more like 8.8 when I measured. It was worse because of the taper, more like 8.7 near the trucks. It looks like they measure before they sand the rails and they REALLY round off the sides. The wood was great though, a little heavy but snappy and not too stiff.

Specifically width at back truck?

Anyone know complete dimensions of this?

As per the pic 9.5 x 31.75 with 14.25 wb.

I don't think the dimensions have changed much if at all from when they first came out, but the one I have with 169s and normal sizes wheels fits well on both the front and back, so I am going with about / almost 9" still.

They definitely didn't taper down too much at the back compared to other boards, and on another similar deck I have 159s with wide Slimeballs wheels which also sits well.

There is one here (on 215s), with subsequent comments after it (some people saying 169 or 159s were good):

Another one here (that has 169s and looks perfect):

Met someone riding a Heroin 10" with 215s and small wheels the other week, he wasn’t flipping but skated ledges and did manuals, looked like fun. Still fine-tuning my Gonz 9.81 setup and waiting for a 9.25 popsicle to try out, but 10" with 215s is definitely on my list now.

Rad!

Was that the OG (no) concave or the modern concave version?

The OG just has the slightest concave through the board and flat nose, only a turned up tail, which was a bit weird at first but worked for a cruiser.

The modern concave version was actually very steep when I stood on one a while back in a shop.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

This is the modern concave, this is gonna be my main rider so I felt like having no concave or nose may have made a lot of tricks difficult. It is fairly steep, but I do a lot of slappys so I like when my feet feel locked in.
