Thankyou all! Ended up stumbling across a Misregistered Eagle shortly after posting that. Good to know there are more options than I was aware of though!

I would be curious to hear how you find it, especially the kicks, but all in good time.

* I have seen both these sets of dimensions listed so not sure which they actually are (tail mainly):

Width (in):   8.75
Length (in):   31.75
Wheelbase (in):   14.25
Nose Length (in):   7.0
Tail Length (in):   6.5

WIDTH (IN):   8.75
LENGTH (IN):   31.75
WHEELBASE (IN):   14.25
NOSE (IN):   7.0
TAIL (IN):   6.625
Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I wanted one of those last time, the WB is a little short for me but I might get it anyway cause that guy is rad

I have one of the light blue ones from the original release. Never been ridden. You're welcome to it. Reach out if you're interested.

I like it a tonne so far. I found the last Creature I had to be a little too steep for me. Felt comfy but felt really hard to get the tail to hit the ground nicely.

Oddly the AH doesn’t have the concave stamped like normal DLX boards but seems a tiny bit mellower than the regular 8.75 shape. The kicks feel stubby - but in a nice way. I hope they keep this shape in future.

So they are the new DLX China made boards that we are getting, all single press, so no stamp as they are all the same, very crispy - much like Creature wood come to think of it only DLX press and concave.  More so we are going to be getting these, rather than BBS (with number stamp) in the future too, so hopefully you like it.  Keeps costs down and we get them sooner than anything that would be made in Mexico, then goes to DLX in SF and then shipped down here.

I have a few, a couple set up right now actually, just to compare and see what they are like, which is interesting.

And yes, there will be a lot more of those coming in future drops too, along with the other usual shapes, including the 9.02 board of which I have one set up, 14.38 wb on it, but it is still way shorter than the other usual 9 x 33 with 15 wb on the orange eagle, you could say it is more "small board" proportions in a wider board, 9.02 x 32.2 with 14.38 wb.

* Note this one is still BBS but the next one is not.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Possibly the last one of these we’ll see unless anyone else has one on ice…

I'm super excited to try it out. The nose/WB/tail proportions remind me a little of the Dane1 which is an all time favorite.

Really enjoyed the ones I rode. I'd hoped the ChicoStix/ Chocolate collabo would include one of these but nope...

I was going to keep it all wrapped up (considering I have some signed chico stix boards too) but it was kinda begging to be skated esp. with the royal trucks. I keep telling myself I should size down but then I won't have an excuse as to why I skate so bad ;)

Haven't posted here in a while. Here a picture of my wood:

I recently switched over to a 10.4 mutant and it is sureal. Best board I've ever had, the normal mutant seems not as fun anymore when I step on it.
This one doesn't have the razor edge construction, which I was kind of on the fence on.
Also I recently switched over from Ace 66 classic to Indy 215s. I have them shits as loose as possible and it is so much fun and the quality difference is significant.
Aces always crumbled on me, the only thing that was durable on Aces were the bushings. The base blate would wear out and the kingpin would start rattling, the pivot cup would turn into dust after a few months, and the hanger would break on me as soon as I would grind down to the axle.
The 215s hold up so well, I grinded my back hanger down to the axle and everything else is still in phenomenal shape after 6+ months of skating a lot.

what companies make 1992-ish shapes? i think they call them football shapes, i’m looking for something 9-ish that tapers to 8.75-8.625. bonus points if it’s a legacy brand that’s not powell or santa cruz, doesn’t have to be though

Man, that looks nice. ‘92 was a good year for me 🤣

CCS has a few tempting decks. That breakfast plate graphic egg shape is cool too.

Here's that CCS shape in a German shop:
https://bonkers-shop.com/products/always-all-over-print-deck-9-1?_pos=9&_fid=14c30a9a8&_ss=c

I'm fairly confident it's the same shape as I think it's a World Industries Dream Girl. Originally it would have had a 14.25wb but BBS started putting some out a few years back drilled to 14.38. Tactics used to sell the 14.38s as shop decks and Darkroom had a few different graphics on that shape as well. Some Heated Wheel decks have what looks like the shape with 14.25 but I've never had one in hand to compare. Sometimes it looks like the same shape, other times the nose looks different.

Oops meant to include this other option:

Trying to think what is also available in EU, more so than USA for you, but some that come to mind include:

Crail / Girl - Couch shape, Love Seat shape, both on the shorter wheelbase side, or Phawt which is longer.

Antihero - Huffer, like the Phawt, a big board, longer wb too, or their 9.1 egg (twin kicks)

Heroin - almost too many to choose, small tails quite often though

Quasi - egg shape, really short wheelbase though

As others have said, Black Label makes good shapes, also some but maybe not quite what you want from DLX - Krooked / AH egg, Polar had a couple of shapes that fit the bill, Jacuzzi, WKND, Welcome, just a few other names that come up from various sites that have had / still have those shapes in the 9" or so width.

Most of the eggs at around 9 are around 8.6 to 8.75 over the trucks too.  Some taper a lot more, often smaller pointy kicks, some short tails, which can be a bit weird to get used to, but people skated them for a reason, still do actually.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Literally a 92 release and on sale

yeah this one is available in my country but i don't love the graphic and it might be a little too wide. i have a new deal andy howell hippies deck, 9.375 at the widest point with a lot of taper to the back, shit flips but it takes too much effort.

that always board is pretty cool and i like their logo a lot but that brand's full name fucking sucks and i kinda don't want to buy it because of that... this is stupid as hell but whatever, i'd rather skate the ccs version at least it's not trying to tell me to do shit

repost from the common folks setup page last week, but after reading @144p post about his Generator 9” pop, I am wondering if that’s what this SPoT deck is. It has the same exact dimensions and wb as he took and is perfectly mellow as well. Great board.
