Stuff I purchased for being the tiny little local shop on my town arrived.

Insomnio wheels full conical 54x36x23 and 56mm with same dimensions.
Same thing for the Sunrise wheels which are 53 and 54mm
Some ABEC 9 bearings and griptape. Not a fan of graphic griptape but the fruit one is kinda cool + kids dig dumb shit like that cat with weed background.

[close]

Do you have a scarcity problem with griptape like I do? I just bought an entire roll of Jessup, after shipping I realized they sell it in pre-cut sheets by the box. And I have another 10 sheets of Mob grip coming too.
This is for selling where I live, we don't have a skateshop since is a little 20k people town.
The fruit one is kinda cool, I'll keep one and a set of 54 on ice since finding F4 is a pain in the ass and apparently these ones are decent enough.

forgive me if i somehow missed it, but could someone help me with just how flat the flat as fuck decks really are?

Been after some Etnies Marana Mid for ages, they have pretty much dried up in the UK.

I wanted a mid cupsole that has a decent amount of room for FP gamechangers, i love the insoles but they really start to mess with your shoe choices.

In the end I bit the bullet and ordered a pair of the Marana Mids in MTW winterised flavour...hopefully I can keep my DC Maswells going another month until the weather gets colder, then skate the Maranas through our shitty miserable UK winter.

Supra penny and anmly tempest are good alternatives to the Marana mid.

Got some Bones Medium Bushings.
First lil session in and they're great!
Only thing thats weird is that they're making some sort of clicking noise, but I searched around on here and it seems pretty common in indys and will most likely go away in about a week or sumthn.

venture 5.2 lo hollows
boardy cakes benchwarmers 99a/48.5mm x 38mm

been pretty good with saving money so i decided to treat myself (while i wait for the venture drought to be over) to $100. going mad scientist on this one.

been switching hangars to see what length is right for me and i found 8.25-8.5 works best for my skating currently. 151s are nice and stable but my flip tricks work better on the smaller hangars. putting them to the side until i get to handrails and bigger shit to see if i still like em.

did the math and in theory, the combo of small truck with the super wide wheel should fit my current deck perfectly. trying learn some more nollie/switch stuff and im hyped to set up something low and wide to do it with
[close]

Sick combo. I don't know how loose you skate your stuff but I put some of the 94 dlx (greens) in my 5.2 lo and it slowed the turn a bit and made them bite way less.
[close]
i ride loose with my thunders but have to tinker around with the ventures to see where i can get the right balance of stable and loose.

plan to ride ace bottoms with the stock top (or shave them down 1/4 of the bushing) and the riptides from the 151s. didnt think too much about it till now but ill probably need to order a set of ace low bushings if the classics dont fit. i know i didnt buy these trucks for the turn but if i can make it work its icing on the cake.

with the sub 50mm wheels im not expecting much wheelbite once everything is dialed in
Maybe it's just me and I'm a simple person who likes finding that smooth truck to get that specific flow aqnd feeling what you guy's are talking about is on another level of tweaking out on truck madness. I can't hang.......

for my birthday i bought myself a kelch twister reissue, some oj keyframes, swisses and thunders to cruise around on. its been fun, i was out here cruising my crusty ass streets with like 49mm 101 f4s and it was miserable. My beer runs are way smoother now.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I ordered some DC Rowlan like 2 months ago (loved that colorway). Thing is that they never arrived and I had to wait like 1 month to get my money back which I did.
On Friday they showed on my doorstep + some socks I ordered from AliExpress.
Free shoes yay.

How are the Rowlans? Got my first session in on the Kalis Vulcs and like them a lot but my local store only has 1 pair in my size left, so I may go for this instead.

Pretty stoked, I got what are probably the last set of Ace in my country. Also is a good excuse to put together another setup, a little smaller. Some Insomnio Wheels (local brand) 54 x 36 x 23, big balls and some style 138 x Former.

mid lockdown after not skating for a while i decided to size up a bit to 8.625/56mm wheels, after getting back into skating regularly i realized that was a mistake and sized down to 8.375. was skating some Wayward 56mm wheels which were alright but i had a quick blast of my friends board with STF's and got tempted by something a bit slidier, so went for a set of SPFs.

Was hunting for this one for a while. My local 2nd hand market is small and this similar board was traded a few months ago. I kicked myself for missing out on it since Justin Strubing is one of my many favorite skaters. The original buyer was selling the board so I had to snap it up. It was either this or the Foundation reissue.
