917 8.5 x 31.7 14.25 wb
venture standard 5.8 with element bushings, don’t judge
spitfire f4 og classic 58mm 99a, but i’m going to switch these for 55mm 99a classics that i have lying around for this deck
pig prime allen bolts
random perforated grip
random bearings
lrab vm001 (they kinda suck tbh, i got a hole in them after 3 sessions on a month old board)
[close]

part of me really likes that graphic. How steep are the kicks?
Jealous when seeing people that have the guts to get 58mm og classics.
[close]

looks like it's identical to the blue eagle dlx shape. i compared it to an old krooked 8.5 that's the same shape and it lines up perfectly.
[close]

Sounds good! thanks for the reply

thinking about it it might be a tiny bit shorter than the blue eagle since the board i compared it to was well skated, so it’s probably more like 31.7 long, 0.125 shorter tail, but the shape as in the concave is pretty much 1:1 identical, wheelbase is the same too

I got this a few years Straw dogs board from John Sox.

Huge WB but I’m getting it.
Venture 56.
 Spit og 58s
Swiss Bones bearings um.

My cousin was the drummer of this band. He was the first person to give me a skateboard.

I want another.

The Scram warpage felt too off while skating. Set up this 8.25 Orchard/DLX skateshop day deck. Swapped in new Thunder bushings since the ones I were skating were cracked

Liking the colours on this one. Is this the KF 8.38 shape with 14.3 something WB? How do you find it pairs with the thunders?  Just curious because i ride same combo (148’s with 8.38)
[close]

Thanks! It is the generic bbs 8.38x14.38x32 mold that quite a few brands like Pass~Port, Sci Fi, etc. use. I have ridden it on Thunders, Indy forged, Indy Standard, and even Ventures and love it on the Thunders.  It's very similar to the DLX 8.25 but as a slightly longer tail and shorter nose but they skate super similar. I haven't found anything seriously wrong with it and TKF uses sorta mellower decks from the press but not Baker mellow.
[close]

You sure its not the generic bbs 8.38x14.5x32.25? I have one on AF1s 55s and loving it. Was wondering hows the feel on some 148 thundies..

I have had quite a few of both shapes, but it seemed like the 8.38 with 14.5 board is not used for the generic shape that BBS has for the 8.3 width boards.

There have definitely been a lot of major brands use the 8.38 x 32.25 (or 32.12) with 14.5 wb including DLX, Baker, Birdhouse, Element, DGK and more, but the other generic 8.3 shape is a bit thinner overall, as well as the shorter 14.38 wb and slightly shorter 32 length, when comparing them directly.  The tail is definitely a touch longer on the generic shape too, which is the main thing I noticed, moving the back bolts up a touch = shorter wheelbase and longer tail, which in some ways I would prefer, but they both work well enough, depending on your needs.

I like the 8.38 longer board on my standard Indy 149s or one set of Ace AF1 55s (more transition / all rounder for me) but the shorter generic 8.3 one works well on Thunder and Venture trucks, especially the 8.25 sized trucks, eg Thunder 148 or Venture 5.6 as per some guys I know who skate that setup more as a tech / street board, but they still shred everything on it.

Pairing deck to trucks is still a personal preference, but I feel like some work well together, others not so much.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I’ve cut down on my spending on skate gear dramatically the past 12 months. Thought I’d ruin that by impulse buying some trucks. Then wheels. Then bearings.

Loveseat
AF1 60’s (finally)
SF F4 Radial Full 58mm (these seem MUCH wider than the Kader Radial Full 58’s I had a couple years back)
Bronson Raw
0.1” mini logo riser

Nice! I could be wrong but I think the Radial Fulls are new this year. Those pervious Kader's were just Radials. So we have Radial Slims, Radials and now Radial Fulls, which are the beasts you have set up.

Even the first Radials in 58mm were bigger than almost everything else in the Spitfire line up, which I guess is why they sold out so fast and then DLX came up with the Radial Full shape, given some of those guys wanted an even bigger, wider wheel than what was on offer.

I haven't seen the Conical Full 60 mm in person yet, but I imagine they are going to be pretty solid too, but they might look thinner with the cutaway sides.

The Classic F4 60mm wheels are still pretty wide too, but as they are way more rounded, they don't look half as wide from go.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I roll with a quiver, that I dig into depending on terrain or mood.
But this would be my go-to, my daily driver, my main squeeze. If I was ever forced into setup monogamy, it would be along these lines.

Krooked Eddie Cernicky 8.38, 14.5 WB
Indy 149 standard. Flat top washer. All else stock.
SF F4 Classic Full 52

Honest question, what's the advantage of that shape?
Like, what situation will it help to have your nose suddenly taper in and get way narrower and pointier?
It looks like someone cut the nose off a narrower deck and glued it to a wider deck or something.

But everyone is saying it's awesome, so I must be missing something, right?
Or is it just awesome cause it's weird?

Possibly unpopular opinion, but 90% of non-popsicle shapes don't bring any technical advantages.
BUT you might just really like the way it looks, it makes you feel good when you look down while skating.
And we like to feel good
