I had a used set of the Original Orion trucks on my first quality board back in 95. They were good trucks but I didn't like the look of the models
that came after, the ultimate and superior ones so i never tried them again.
[close]

They had a super team when they first came out really stacked Koston, Penny, Rowley to name a few

Kareem and Kalis. They were kind of like an indy low. I had some, had to. Kareem!??
I tried to replace the bushings and nothing would fit, was how I found bones bushings.

No clue, even Tensor doesn't list it.

i remember tactics listing them as 27(x)g when they were in stock
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

8" 12.7oz so 360.0389 grams

So just ahead of ACE 33s and close enough to an Indy standard; I kind of find that hard to believe but this is all we have right now.

Been off my ATGs for a while (been grinding Ventures and Indy). I find I prefer the feel of Indy/Venture when grinding over the 'hollow' feeling of the ATGs; it's just more solid/visceral on aluminum vs. magnesium.

As for grinding ease, I'd say on worn in curbs or angle iron/bars/metal whatever, there doesn't seem to be an advantage with the mags being able to grind better or farther (however, you can go a little bit farther with less speed on the Mags) that only applies on shit surfaces, much how the TiHs would grind better on stone/concrete).

Also, coming off the Ventures I felt too high and tippy / very unstable the ATGs (using bones softs in them); guess I got used to those Ventures ;) Switching over to Thunders for a bit as I think they are still the happy medium between the two.

Set up my Film 6.0s today, bushings aren’t worn in it yet but it wasn’t too hard to adjust coming from Ace 44s. Manual point feels very similar and my pop wasn’t really ghosting. Didn’t grind them yet as it was just a quick session in the driveway but quite impressed so far.

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Had first session on 6.0 Film Hollows and have to say the felt so much easier to skate than 6.1 Ventures. Bushings do that annoying thing that they stay crooked at first, but after couple hours it wasn't problem anymore. Very Indyish feeling, but time will tell how long they last compared to Indys.

I am switching some gear around and using them on a second set up instead of indy's. The interlocking bushings are nice.. broke in well. report back!

Looking back, i think it was more about steep board. Now skating pretty mellow Skateboard Cafe board and i think Ventures would do just fine with this deck. Used to be Thunder guy for almost 10 years but nowadays more into the light pop feeling. Makes me ghost pop so much less.

But then again, when truck madness hits it all can change in a heartbeat.

Which board size are you skating the 6.1?
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I'm riding maglights so no need as they're hollow and have great clearance as it is.

Are you just after the hollow pin for the standard ATGs?

Running ATGs with Krux dl pin now. Little tap to get the pin out of the ATG mags, lots of room around the pin in the baseplate so need a plumbers wrench or a fat flat screwdriver to fix the nut. Room above so as long as you are not cranking it in there no need for risers (as opposed to forged thunders, for example).
Hey, hey, hey. Don't be mean. We don't have to be mean because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Hey yo guys, so out of curiosity I decided to grab a pair of 8.5 Aluminum Tensor ATG since I'm a big fan of the mag lights. I've never really seen a weight listed for them anywhere, or if I did I always assumed that it was actually for the alloys because surely even though they're aluminum they've gotta be pretty light right?

Well, not really. They're 381.5g. Obviously that's not bad for an 8.5 solid axle/kp truck but after seeing how ridiculously light the mag lights were (260 something before I even took any meat off them) I guess I just expected some sort of witchcraft or something. I was thinking they'd be in the 330-340 range for some reason, so I'm a little bit disappointed but as long as they still turn and pop the same the extra weight shouldn't bother me too much.

Yeah the ATG are 55mm. I have a pair of 149 standards with some meat off them and I swear they're over 400, but it's been a long time since I've had them off the board they're on (Kanfoush yinzer) so I could be wrong. They're the black Olson ones so maybe the inverted crosses painted on them are so heavy they add the weight.

I got my trucks and I'm glad I went kreper instead of krux. The shape more closely resembles the wider top washer that came with it.

Got nothing but love for Maglights.

Turn beautifully
No issues with the stock bushings
Stable for a 55mm tall truck
Grind nicely
Super light, great for old man legs

You don’t realise how good a thing you’re on until you try something different. On that note I get my Maglights back and my son gets a slightly used set of thunder 148 hollow lights that I never really enjoyed
