Wonder what would be the best to paint foxing tape from white to black.
Not feeling messing around spray paint, could a Posca do the trick?

Kiwi shoe polish is what I used to use. There's ones that are basically like a big paint pen. takes like 30 seconds to go around a shoe then a couple mins to dry
Found this

Nice, thx and gnar!

this will leave marks on shit if it's wet or humid, js

spray paint is the way to go, masking tape doesn't leave any residue and you'll be done with it in 3 minutes

^it never did for me but I guess user beware if that's others experience

Just thinking about all the recent wood stain talk and why don't the manufacturers just match stain colours? Someone who wants a blue board would probably also like a blue top etc

How do you edit a thread you make?
[close]

You can edit the header from the first post, or the content of any of your own posts, or lock the thread, or delete the thread.

That's pretty much it.

Thank you very much. I try not to make threads. I hope that kids alright. I wish soooo badly that some youtube cats would pick that up.  Even if only for 10 seconds.
Just in case the kid follows. Give them some hope. Till they can escape to California.

They busy doing gos content.

I’m not going to make anymore threads till I study up. I suck

You don’t think I dislike Eric do you? Cuz I like all his shit. Idk if it’s the way the footage looks now or what? I just like his style in general way more now.

Just to be clear, the reason I think the next generation like the Baker generation the last decent Plan B generation is a tier above those THPS legends is because it’s largely the same stuff. Just bigger faster and cleaner.

My personal belief is that skating as an art was dead from 02-2012. In the pro realm. Not like Pals. Whl and 911. That was that.

Yall know what happened in 2012?

Could somebody know this shape of Quasi?

Big Corp [8.5”]
■ 8.5" x 33" WB 14.5"
■ Manufactured at PS Stix
■ Brown Bottom Veneer

Real llength? Is squarish?

Which 8.25 decks don’t have too pointy tail:nose and steeper concave / not too flat?

Alien workshop decks have been a tad bit too long for me. Quasi proto have short tails, right?
FA/Hockey has great shapes.
Whatelse is similar? Doesn’t need to be that blunt in the kicks

I haven't seen it in person so don't know if it is actually that long, but you can make up your own mind from this listing, which usually has good measurements and pics.

Size   8.5
Width (in):   8.5
Length (in):   33.0
Wheelbase (in):   14.5
Nose Length (in):   6.9
Tail Length (in):   6.75

Overall the dimensions only add up to about 32.5 and not 33 but the kicks sure do look long there.

Bear mind that's a PS Stix deck, so the dims can be off as the professor measures deck / nose / tail length along the curve, not in a straight line. I'm never gonna order PS Stix deck online ever after getting a 31.3 deck that was spec'd 32 online.

Yeah, they are easy enough to convert down, usually go about a 1/4" less, not so much a 1/2" but I guess it can happen, but that 33" long board is a funny one any which way.

Sucks that board you got was so short - usually 32.2 long is about 31.8 as per the common sizes I have had pass through my hands, but I try to stay more so with boards I know the dimensions are correct.

Been an unfortunate learning experience for some people I know too.

Has anyone skated a frog deck, specifically with Ace’s? Maybe even more specifically with AF1’s. What did you think of it?

I think they have had issues with servers, but the instagram and facebook accounts are still very active, so I was also wondering if it is something else on my end.

Frog is BBS wood, of which I have lots, then with Ace and AF1 they skate fine, no issues.

I had both generic shape / size 8.25 with AF1 44s and same in 8.5 with AF1 55s for reference, which are the shapes Frog uses.

Perfect, appreciate it. Knew they were BBS so no issues on that end but sometimes a deck you think is going to skate a certain way turns out to be… not at all what you expected. Good looking out.

Thanks a lot
So what i get from your coment amd other that helped too is that this board should be a real 32,25 length, since 32,25pstix is real 31,75

that pic looks a bit squarish huh?
Its mellowed kicks also? Somebody can confirm?

I recall that some people talked about it back in the time but cant find it the info

Personally i am a big fan of the 8.5" x 32.125" WB 14.25"psitx shape its like 31,5 or 31,6 real lenght
Its short mellow and very confortable to skate

What is the paper/cardboard/whatever label on hardware packaging actually called (specifically, what type of material is it?), and where can I get them printed on?

I understand them to be called "Header cards" but in searching I also see "Bag toppers" and similar.

There are a lot on my local searches for businesses that do these, so I am guessing there should be a fair number there in the USA too.

Search Header card packaging and full info comes up from that.

Not sure if you are familiar with Brian Seber, who runs a print shop and Ignition skateshop, but he does his own shop bolts with cool packaging, so he could be a good one to talk to about something like that.

So I have a weird one to ask.

Some time ago I ordered a set of raw ventures online, and when they arrived they were covered in what appeared to be a powder. Fast forward to some time spent storing my board in a dark place, it quickly became apparent that this white substance was actually mold. The trucks then shortly after started becoming spotted with black mold.

I don’t know where the online vendor stored these for this to occur, but now I’m wondering if there’s any kind of liquid I can soak the trucks in that should kill the mold, but not damage the integrity of the metal itself?

If anyone has any idea, it would be hugely appreciated.

I think you could probably use vinegar with a cloth. People use it on kitchen stuff and sinks etc just don't leave the trucks soaking in a bucket of it or something. Don't know what it would do to rubber tho

Talking about raw trucks, do you know how to make them polished? Probably with a dremel and some bits ?
I’ve used sandpaper which made it look ok but it takes absolutely forever

Soak them in acetone.

If you use acetone, make sure to take all non-metal parts off first as acetone is corrosive to them. Isopropyl alcohol could do the same trick without being corrosive.
