I think Chris Gregson's filming is shit and it makes me feel dizzy to watch it. It's not quite as bad as strobeck but sometimes it's not far off. Almost everything in his videos would be so much better if it was filmed long lense and didn't feel like he was just showing off like 'wow look at the lines I can take while filming'.

I feel quite similar. I’ve thought that the eagle graphic is lame and I haven’t wanted to ride it for quite a while now. I’ve covered a bunch up. Lots of other shitty graphics too.

The shapes is the main reason I’ve been buying their boards anyway. In the future I’ll hopefully find shapes I like from other brands. Fuck all that tough guy shit. I don’t wanna rep that.

Skating a Baker now and I’m liking it a lot. I’ve got probably 10 Antiheros in the stack though. I’ll skate them but I’ll likely just sticker the graphics up.

I got two used ones from a homie, and another new one at an extreme discount. I had nothing to skate so I set one up recently, the graphic is mostly gone but I covered it up mostly with a bunch of anti racist/anti Proudboy stickers. I’ll probably just get another DLX brand in the future, or other distributor entirely. Wood seems to matter less to me than other people haha. Kinda ironic though all I had was near new indys with the iron cross to put on it. Time to do an unreasonable amount of nose and tail slides…

I saw your post from a little while back that echoes my sentiment. I've heard it from other friends of mine as well. I respect the history and Cardiel and Stranger, but things add up. That's just how it is, let's keep skating.

Not trying to be a smartass at all and genuinely asking. If you were buying AH boards for the shape how do you enjoy a baker board? Unless they changed they’re notoriously flat with zero shape.

What can I say? I guess I have an eclectic taste. 8.5” with a nice shaped nose and tail. Both nice lengths for me. 14.5” wheelbase too, which is my minimum (usually). It’s not super flat either. I’ve definitely had flatter boards. BBS too, which seems to work for me much better than many others.

Even though I’ve been mostly skating shaped boards lately, that’s not what I normally skate so I wasn’t referring particularly to having some exact shaped board like the Grimple Nighthammer or something.

Don't think it deserves a thread and not sure where to put it but has anyone ever heard of "send it Steve's"? Apparently there's this demographic of skaters nowadays that have a little bit of ability and proceed to basically throw themselves at high speed off large obstacles trying tricks that are outside of their abilities. It's truly a sight to behold and a little terrifying. There were three or four of these cats at my local recently, all unrelated, and it was pretty nerve wracking to watch. I almost packed up. They try huge tricks, fast, but clearly way off, and eat it hard. Get back up immediately like nothing happened and hit the gas once again. I asked a kid I know and he called them send it Steve's. Anyone seen this? It's pretty unnerving.
