these guys are probably on slap but their reviews and interviews crack me up. i don't agree with it all, dude roast billy pepper, eric pupecki [think he calls him poopdecky or something?] but he's got a clear vision of what he's into [menace, world in that era followed by east coast later]. i never heard of doa decks but i guess was a company for a while but the riders were shit, wearing their shirts inside out etc. dude's delivery reminds me of heath kirchart describing jerry fowler telling him about el toro.
"jerry was a ledge skater. he told me he tried to noseslide el toro without a filmer and i was like..... that's a lie."

What does BBS stand for?

We tell people that BBS doesn’t stand for anything, and that it’s just BBS, or that it’s an acronym for whatever comes to mind, but of course it does stand for something, just something that doesn’t have the same meaning today as it was intended to have.

BBS stands for Bare Back Skateboards, which started as a Longboard Brand in 1996. The original skateboard that we made, and the idea behind the name, was a skateboard that you rode barefoot, and without grip tape. This was all around the time that the internet was just getting started. Within a few years, the internet had exploded, and the Porn Industry cornered the term Bareback. When anyone tried to search up our Skateboard Company, they would get bombarded with Porn Pop Ups and Computer Viruses. By the early 2000’s we had abandoned running the Longboard Brand in favor of OEM Manufacturing, so we dropped Bare Back Skateboards to just BBS.

So, if anyone asks, it’s just “BBS”.

Just remembered a time in high-school where we were playing kick ball in the gym. The annoying attention seeking girl was up. She kicked the ball and proceeded to run while screaming hysterically for no reason at all. Dude who gets the ball chucks it right into her legs, she trips and slams headfirst into the metal box storing a fire extinguisher. She just layed there face down in silence while the entire class just froze. I was the only one who was crying in silent laughter.

Had class with her the next hour and 10 minutes into class she came in with a temporary neck brace all slowly and again had me dying
