Victoria Bitter is the worst beer ever. Every time I've drunk it I have spewed.

Something of a local legend. Gets brought up a lot as a joke in local beer groups, particularly when visitors or people new to the area ask about AZ beer. It says retired, but I could swear I've seen it within the last year.



Has a worse score than Bud Light on a beer snob forum.

that shit is nasty, i think that type of liquor is originally from sweden and i think they consume it together with rotten fish.

that said i've had my fair share of (warm) slivo shots, slivo isn't even that bad. i'd take a shot of slivo over a shot of cheap tequila anyday tbh. nothing worse than bottom shelf tequila blanco, preferrably made with only 50% agave to keep the fake funk going. might as well drink vodka flavored with camel cigarette butts.

I just read Jeppson’s Malort Wiki page and I have to say I am pretty excited to try it next time I am in Chicago.

How about Jagermeister? How does it compare to that? I have actually never tried Jagermeister or other sweet shots like fireball because I was just always used to drinking hard alcohol straight. Except gin. Puking off screwdrivers at 16 has ruined me for gin for life.

jaeger makes you trip out, i'm not even kidding. the og herb mix for it was said to contain hallucinogens.

it basically tastes like licorice with herbs. really a love it or hate it thing. some people do jaeger shots all night, some can't even down one.

Jaeger is very very sweet. I'd prefer that over Slivo any day. My serbian friend brings slivo out when its like 2AM as the way to get everyone to go home to a coma. Wake up feeling like Heroin Bob in the morning.


The closest thing I can compare Malort to is bile. As soon as you hit it, you'll taste custodian supply closet and then your mouth is left sickly sweet, like you just threw up bile.

yeah, i can see that. it has some wick vaporub qualities to it. that said in germany people actually use it as cough syrup. or it's more like, having a cough and some jaeger is always an excuse to still drink, cause people will jokingly call it cough syrup.

it's kind of like the german version of lean. we don't have those codeine syrups(illegal), but i think you can get promethazine and dexy, but hard to beat a jaeger trip.

most of my jaeger memories include blood, broken glass and days of regret.

Ricard rules, you just need to mix it with water and ice. Cannot drink it straight! Some folk add different flavored syrups to it but just ice and water and its great. Taste's even better in the sun playing pétanque.

The "history" that was passed among bartenders was that it was created by hunters in Germany to sooth upset stomachs after eating deer meat that was very game-y. I still enjoy drinking it, no Red Bull which will definitely keep me up till 6am.

VB ain’t so bad compared to Fosters or any of them shitty commercial beers we have here in Canada. I remember not liking Toohey’s much.
