Thanks @HotnSpicyMcChicken and @DarkPools got back in and got a pair. Have the white/gum 440 already and they’re sick so can’t go wrong.

Picked up 4 pair of the 440s for under 80 bucks because it's a frankly absurd deal.  Seems nuts, since I haven't ever tried a pair, but the 288s were the single most comfortable out of the box cupsole I have ever tried on.  If the 440s fit half as well, they should feel amazing.

Once again, shouts to our boy Buttfart for nosing out a good one.

For me the 440s take a bit more breaking in but are just as, if not more, comfortable than 288s after break in.

Crazy to be able to grab 3 pairs for about the cost of the ones I’m skating now.

Hell yeah, even more stoked now

I actually enjoy the username. I had to fight hard not to buy even more shoes this morning.

Same here. Don’t need but too cheap to pass up. If I see someone skating these I’m gonna ask if they are on slap and got them from eBay.  ;D

That's a good deal! I've never tried NB. Does anyone know how the sizing runs compared to Adidas? Similar? Bigger?

Numeric is TTS. @rothdigga commented in the NB# thread that they fixed all models/lasts within the past year and all TTS. Lots of sizing talk there, good to search through. Admittedly the 440 fits a tad long in the toebox (newer white/gum pair had leather, these all suede) but you're still held in well.

Thanks! I'll give it a go. They are pretty cheap, so worth the risk.

Grabbed a pair as well.  Can't wait to read everyone's thoughts in the "Has anyone actually skated these" thread in about a month.

For what it's worth, the 440's have become my every day skate shoe, and they feel really nice. They took a day to really break in, but compared to the NB 913's they broke in so much quicker and feel really "natural" on my foot. Lots of cushion and fit comfortably. After about 200 straight heelflips in them, they are just starting to tear a little bit on my front foot. For reference, I skated Adidas Seeleys which tore after about 50 heelflip attempts (Heelflip attempts have become a unit of measurement for me).

I've wanted to try the 440's for a while now but I'm too cheap for their full price. So, thanks to whoever posted this. I picked up two pairs and it cost like $36. That's like a sore peeter, you can't beat it.

I also grabbed a hoodie and some other NB# tees. One pair of shoes, hoodie and tees were like under $80.

Got my 440s today (shockingly fast, holy shit) and they are quite good. On my feet, they look good enough to wear around and fit like how I wanted the Busenitz pro to feel. Depending on how durable, I could see them becoming a go to, and either way the price was quite literally impossible to beat.

I held out as long as I could on those New Balances since I have a moral objection to them not using Uyghur Muslim slave labor (they do the nicest stitching imo), but $23 was too cheap!

super glue the stitching if you can, and the lace area. But besides that they're very solid

Those 440s are tempting, and I actually like the colorway too.
What's sizing like for those? I'm TTS in Sbs and Vans. I like my shit a little more snug.

Bought 2 pairs, stoked to try them on and skate them! I tried on a pair of 552? At Marshall’s and didn’t really like them. Hopefully that’s not the case with these 440’s.

Hopped on the 440 train. I've been wanting to try them since they came out and the colorway is totally alright. Psyched to get em in.

For anyone worried about 440's, I think it's a wide appealing, low profile cupsole.  I've bought 2 pairs already this year, switched to Tyshawn's, and when this sale came up I had to cop another pair.  Also, I would totally say go TTS in these.

Some of the big pro's of this shoe for me are:
-Outsole doesn't collect pebbles
-Flick feels great when broken in
-Suede seems pretty durable, and can easily been extended with super glue

Cons:
-Mesh around the collar gets a bit shredded with how I do my heelflips, but it held up for a bit out of the gate
-Insole could be a bit more supportive.  Take that with a grain of salt, as I'm 36 and my knees are terrible

Had to go for the $24 440'S. 913's have been hard to get on sale lately so gonna try the 440.
