If the rumors in the Polar Shapes thread are true, this may be the last 1991 we see.  Real bummer because it's such a great shape.

9.25 1991
Indy 159 Ti with aftermarket bushings and riptide pivot cups
55mm OG classic F4s
Super Reds
Jessup Ultra (really digging this actually)

excited to get mine. Looks good with 159. Was planning ace 55’s on mine but we will see. Have you used the 1991 on any other trucks?
[close]

I’ve only ever used it with 159s but 55s should work perfectly as well
Never ride it with 159s but I love my 91 and 92 with my 55s
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

Ok opinions on wheels...i have some G-Bones and Oj 60mm juice...which one would you put on for cruising to work? Might do the odd ollie here and there, but not really looking to do tricks.

I think OJ makes a better cruiser wheel.

Aren't these on the opposite sides of the durometer scale (80a vs 97a)?

OJ Super Juices are going to give you the smoothest ride and run over all the cracks and crust without hassle. That's the goal of cruiser boards. I wouldn't go with G-Bones.

Surprised, 149s look like they fit pretty well with the 60s being so wide.

Little magic carpety.  Nice though, get a deeper squirrely turn and very little wheel bite. Running 1/8" risers. Top bushings sanded down about 2mm. Hangers are stage 10 stripped of black paint and lightly sanded for a brushed look. Just threw them on my 215 baseplates with riptides,  maybe that affects turn too. Didn't know 215s had different geo

congrats on the promotion. are those your measurements? I thought the 1991 had a 14.5” wheelbase. And a slightly shorter tail than the 9” pop I believe

Replayed to the other thread with your pic but I got the 1991 as well, looking forward to finally checking it out.

Prime S5 Handout shape w/ graphics from Lurks Houston
9.12 x 31.75ish x 14.25 WB
Ace 55
Super Juice 60mm w/ graphics out so it doesn’t hot rod as much.
Big Balls
1/4” risers

Set this back up for runs to the store at night. Anyone know if someone makes this S5 / GS5 type shape but maybe a touch longer with a 14.5” WB? I really like it a lot, just gets a little squirrelly at high speed.
I only skate prime numbers, so it's either 53s or 59s, feast or famine

Got this New Deal Templeton Reissue - Resin 7
10.125 x 31.9
Wheelbase 14.5
Indy 169s with a cracked pivot cup
Spitfire 56mm 97a Classics
Welcome / Professor Schmitt 'Candy Bar' Rails

Been after the Candy Bars for years, stoked to get a few sets.    Couldnt decide what colour to put on, so went classic.  Man, these things slide...  It's like they're full of wax.  Amazing. They're basically Schmitt Stix Type II Rails, which were my favorite back in the day.

The board feels amazing, super crisp and the shape rules.  Really similar to my Tired board I retired.  I always wanted a New Deal back in the day, but they were too hard to get in suburban Australia.
