Pretty close to an Xmas complete except bearings/hardware.

Heroin Bigger Egg (10”)
Ace AF 77
Spit F4 Classic 53mm
Reds
Jessup

Fuck yeah, that's the deck I saw someone skate with 215 Indys and small wheels a while ago, looked like fun. Definitely on my list of things to try setup-wise.

That egg’s eff’n sick. Like the nod to the crack theme in the grip.

Re: wiiiiiide trucks and smaaaalll wheels -Can be fun to try.  I had a big deckcrafters set up with tracker 184s and tried some tiny (well <50mm) worn down spits a buddy had. One session on a mini was enough, though.  Didn’t feel like I could trust the lock-in and felt every seem and screw head.

Yeah, I just went from 54mm Tablets that were around 51-52mm in the end to 56mm Conical Full and love it. As you say, too much stuff to worry about with small wheels. Next few weeks I’ll be on a mission to get flip tricks with my big board, if that works out I’ll scratch any plans to move back to a smaller and lighter setup.

Meanwhile I asked about the 10" egg shape on Heroin’s Insta and they say it’s coming back next month with a new graphic!

Yeah 53 is the smallest I’ve rode in many years, but I got those wheels for free so figured I’d give this a shot. Have some conical full 56 and OG classic 55s in my quiver, so if I hate them I’ll switch em out. We’ll see.

And a IV (4) in the press, bottom board which means that concave will be more mellow, so just perfect on the wider Huffer shape too.

:)

I wondered what that meant! The concave feels nice... Steeper than the Blast 9.5" egg that the Cardiel will be replacing, and that was too flat for me.

Too sore to skate today, but I set this up any way so the sight of it by the door, un-skated, can haunt me.

Evisen Shor West "Sticky Face" 10.34"
Ace AF1 55s
56mm Conical Full 97a
Quantum atoms
bronze
mob

Tried to go for the rip tape, but this sheet is kinda old and  second tear wound up pulling the grip away from the adhesive. Had to cut the fucked up part out and decided not to push it.

Just standing on and rolling around the apartment feels crazy. Looking down and just not seeing a nose is super alien to me, even the dane 1 had more than this. It also feels like it's crazy tall-like I have risers on or something. I'm sure part of that is fresh af1s after riding broken in classics yesterday though.

Here's the measurements I took from it
Length: 30.5"
width (widest): 10.34"
width (front truck): 9"
width (back truck): 8.25"
WB: a fat 14.75, could call it 14.875
nose: 5"
tail: 6.75

What are good boards for 215s?
I want to be able to run a wide conical wheel or cruiser that might bring it past axle to 10.5”
Who makes boards that are like 11” over the trucks?

Follow his IG. Once a week, he'll post shapes he'll be making that week and how many orders he'll be taking. Once his order goes live, he'll take orders (some order multiple decks) until all slots are filled.

Right now, I think he took a couple of weeks off to decompress, skate, and mess around with new shapes.

He's a legit good dude who just wants to make boards. This is his side gig/hobby, so understandably, he needs his time as well.

I'm on a 10" with 215s and it's a super fun slappy set up.

My board - only difference now is I added rails and switched the wheels to 97a classic

Not wide enough I need like a 11” popsicle but I’d rather a 12” shaped board that’s over 10.5” over the trucks.
I want magic carpet on 215s, I’m hot rodding too much, I kinda love it but whatever

Does anyone know how wide the Crailtap 9.25" x 32" shape is where the trucks sit? Wondering if 169 Indys will stick out.

EDIT: Found this, so 169s should be perfect.

It is a typo. The Couch is like 9" over the front truck and 8.625"-8.75" over the back truck. 169s will stick out a little in the back.

Definitely! Going to use worn-down 54mm Tablets which shouldn’t stick out too much. Will be interesting to skate a more symmetrical shape again after a year on the Gonzales 9.81".

I had pretty gnarly knee surgery in March, so I've been tinkering with setups, doing Grosso-style sticker jobs and just rolling around as much as I can. Here's what's up;

Polar Dane
Indy 149s on Real wooden 1/8" risers (very glad someone makes these risers. They feel great.)
Bones mediums
Diamond bolts
OJ 55mm Super Juice (amazing wheel)
Bronson G3 (better than Raws so far)

The combo of short wheelbase deck, Indys and the OJs makes this a crazy fun sportscar of a skateboard!

Antihero Cardiel Huffer
Indy 159s
Indy inverted baseplates, Real 1/8" wood risers, Diamond bolts and Bones mediums
54mm F4 conicals
Bronson Raws (meh...)

Longer wheelbase is very stable, to the point that I wonder if Ace classics might nimble it up a bit. Shape is super nice, as is the IV concave.

Heroin big gold egg
Ace AF1 77s
Shake Junt bolts
52mm F4 OGs
Bronson Raws

Big ol' wheelchair of a board. I like the big board/small wheel vibe and the Ace trucks feel great. Way more lively than my old 215s.

Anyway, that's the "rolling around and doing no tricks" report! Cheers!

EDIT; Guys I'm sorry I got my trucks all confused... I've corrected the post. The Huffer is 8.75"-ish over the trucks and my 159s fit perfectly.

Thanks for the report and good luck with your knee! The Heroin setup looks so good, following up on the earlier conversation about it I am now fully set on getting one.

Have some 53mm OG Classics that I wanted to sell but might save for the occasion. Also seems like a good opportunity to try Ace, they look perfect on there.

My wallet hurts but it’s good to go in and try out new stuff once every decade or so. ;)
