I've been eyeing it too. Super sick!
14.75" wb?
And are 10" trucks mandatory? They're not easy to find..

AND yellow risers, ha! Nice work. That nose is crazy. Let’s talk more about the 6.1’s tho.. care to share feedback? So the v hollow baseplate pushes the WB more, but hows the turning and geo with that combo?

Well, geo-wise it all fits? I personally doubt the forged/cast WB difference is even perceptible on a regular setup and no way on these width & wheel dimensions (huge!). Compromised on 1/4" risers (after a previous lower experiment) so I didn't have to go for hard or screwed bushings to avoid bite.

It turns, still feels Venture-y but pointless to compare to normal popsicle response. It skates how a board from '89 with Gullwing Street Shadows on would skate, basically. 8)

You can ollie and chuck it around and it's a right laugh compared to my usual 7.75" but not gonna be tre-flipping it! It's a land tank for rocketing to work (after lockdown...) and blasting stones out of the way when I walk the dog haha :)

I know some people were asking if we could add photos of some of the bigger shop deck shapes we have, so today I did that. And added dimensions with wb in the description. It’s a work in progress, if you select the size the corresponding photo should pop up. It’s not perfect but we are trying. Maybe eventually we will have pictures of every shape for every size 7.75-10 but sometimes we get multiple popsicle shapes in one size because the wood shop runs out.

Those look great. Great price also. If you are able to share, what wood shop do you use?

Good lord what’s the 10” popsicle like? Does it feel like a sheet pan or just a beefy popsicle? Is it in one of those “group” photos?
I only skate prime numbers, so it's either 53s or 59s, feast or famine

I’ll get the 9.5 and 10 popsicle pics up today.
We use mostly generator but some shaped decks and occasionally popsicles are southcentral. You can always email or dm and ask before you buy if it’s a deal breaker. I’ve learned that as a nerd it matters a lot to me but 95% of people couldn’t care less.

Already posted this on the wheel thread but it also belongs here:
Thinking about putting together a Pandemic setup aka curb setup. I'm already set with an Heroin 9" curb crusher.
I'm not sure about the wheels tho.
It would be better some F4 99 56mm classics, some Miller SPF 56mm or something soft like this?

I would recommend F4 99 Conical Full or Radial Full if you can find them. Much better lock and laps over curbs easily in this shape. Soft wheels give too friction, and tend to blow up in my experience doing slappies. SPF would probably be too hard but it’s been years since I’ve had a pair.

I have a set of these. Soft, fast, and grippy.

But will tear and chunk as soon as you do slappies.  Huge chunks. Use them for cruising, nothing else

And are 10" trucks mandatory? They're not easy to find..

No, Ace 66 or Indy 169 with wide wheels (ie Spitfire Classics 60mm or OJ Mini Combos) would work.

This is my current setup for transition maybe some day when I can get my old ass down to the skatepark again.

Griptape malfunctioned a lil bit on the left side edge, but it was just the free tape that came with the deck so no sweat. Curving those rails by hand was a little tricky, inspired to try it by that photo of Phelper (RIP) fs air on the subscription card in recent Thrashers on a similar shape with curved rails.

Santa Cruz Winkowski Train Deck 10.34" x 30.54", 15" wheelbase
Independent Stage 10 159s 8.75" Trucks, raw metal and medium loose
Spitfire Lance Pool Service F4s 56mm 99d, natural and one blue
Spitfire 6-ball bearings, generic hardware, Mob grip
White Indy 1/8" risers, white 14.5" Powell rails

Love this setup, the huge tail feels super stable and pops crisp.

From the setup thread.
Think the noses look similar?
OG Hensley has a whaletail that looks more like the curb crusher.

Hot.
The 8.75 trucks work well on that big of a setup?
I love scram, they stuff is just too big for me, in general.
I’m in the wrong thread.

For anyone riding a 9+" popsicle how's ollying treat you? I'm a giant with size 16 shoes (currently ride an 8.75) and ride to work. All I want to be able to do is pop curbs as I cruise.  Is it easy enough to get a 9+" popsicle off the ground?

My big set up is a 9’ popsicle and there are no problems with Ollies. Takes a little more effort for flip tricks than my smaller set up, but not a big deal. The only decks bigger than 9 that I’ve had trouble ollieing with are shorter, flatter decks with minimal nose. Like the Santa Cruz Winkowski deck took a lot of adjusting to to feel comfortable ollieing with and even then I never trusted it to stick to my feet. I have a Zip Zogger I skate sometimes that is the same length but has more curves to it that ollies fine.

Thanks for the info bro big help. I am looking forward to seeing what Andy Anderson can do on the JM Durant that has a 17" wheel base. That thing is like a surf board but it would be mint to have that much real estate for my big ass feet.

its all in the wb really. shorter will always be more responsive and easier to manuever
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I agree^. But just wanted to say that most of us fossils learned how to ollie on 10" wide tanks with ~15" wb.
1/4" or 1/2" is a small wb change (to me). 2" more wb is a huge change.
9" pop with 15" wb is easy to find. Few shorter wb options too.
