Anything good you've read about Tensor is all about the new atg.
[close]

Truth. Just look at what Daewon goes through to get his Tensor 10 lows to function correctly :P

Good point, I'll save my money and stick to the Mag / ATG stuff. Thanks fellas.

Heard lots of good stuff about Tensors, I'm looking for a truck that pops like Thunders but without the baseplate catching on slides.

Anyone have a review on the Tens Flick Lo in 5.25 in Aluminium?

Shalom and thank you.

And the new ATG's are good...really good.

Was able to skate an indoor bowl today for the first time with these Theeve’s. With the Bones bushings broken in a little more, they feel even more awesome than the first session where I just carved around and did some slappies. The Ace-like turn really shined as I hung out right below coping frontside and could carve right back in without needing to lift my front truck. My Thunder 161’s weren’t able to do that.

These are basically 3/4ths of the way there with being an Ace turn, therefore undoubtedly quicker than Indy. Theeve’s are more stable than the other two as well. Along with with the high quality I really can’t say anything bad. So far so good, I don’t see myself needing to ride anything else.

Anyone know if Fury is still around ? I remember really liking a set I had about 15 years ago. They had a weird and sharp turning geometry but once you got used to it, they were real good.

They are said to be "Time Tested, Rider Approved" but I don't see any riders on their team. I saw them for sale at box sporting goods store for $40 a pair.

Is there any way to tell if the pair of Tensors are MagLight ATG or just regular MagLight?

The hanger looks different, as you can see these non atgs its got a bit of a gradual rounded T pattern whereas the atgs have a much sharper, but shallower and kinda angled T shape

Good eye, I noticed the pivot cut area is sharper and more angular for ATG models, the non-ATG goes look kind of round.

Hard to tell the hanger shape off the pic though.

Thanks!

Edit: Anyone know if this is an ATG model or just a regular Maglight?

They are nothing like those old evo’s, I have two sets of those sweet x fury’s and they are total crap. Glad I got them free.

Im interested in trying low trucks, rode indys for a minute now. Only thing that kinda sketches me out is wheel size, is 53mm too big for lows?

makes since to be on crail and hold it down for brazil. Skateboarding is so weird. Kelvin makes more than most skaters off contest and energy drink money, yet doesn't really have solid sponsors. What other industry is like that?

On true lows? Talking ~50mm here like ML, Indy/Venture lows (Thunders if you can find them)...I'd not touch anything over 51mm.

Also depends on how loose you go, tho with lows my guess isn't too much.

Whats good with the bushings in these new ATGs? worth keeping em in? ive formed a habit of just replacing all bushings with some bones as soon as i get a new pair of trucks.

Keep them in, the interlocking is nice and they're pretty good quality overall. Though I'm a fan of bones bushings they're definitely not the end all be all

I ride 54s on the 7.63 ML trucks but I use risers also.I keep my trucks pretty loose. Lots of jiggle. Sometimes I let my friends ride my board and typically they get wheel bite or try one trick and give it back because they couldn’t really balance lol.
So if I someone wants bigger than 51mm wheels and doesn’t mind risers, ML will still work great. I also have ridden the 8.38 trucks with 54s no risers just as loose; I had pretty deep wheelbite grooves on those but I still skated them just as hard.

They're great if you don't want loose trucks right out of the gate, they feel pretty hard new. They get really snappy with the stock top and bones bottom (but I ultimately when with soft bones because breakinlazy).

Found a site selling some Tensors, is there any difference between these 2 models? One of them has the "NEW ALL TERRAIN GEOMETRY" the other just says "ALL TERRAIN GEOMETRY"

NEW ATG: https://thankyousupply.com/collections/tensor-trucks/products/tensor-new-black-mag-light-skateboard-trucks?variant=31351123640383
ATG: https://thankyousupply.com/collections/tensor-trucks/products/ten-mag-light-red?variant=14610539249727

Aside from the little logo over the black / white variants on the truck.

What would be the highest low I could get? Id like to stick with a 53 or at least 52. Or should I rather consider some mid trucks then?

What would be the highest low I could get? Id like to stick with a 53 or at least 52. Or should I rather consider some mid trucks then?

On mids I tend to go no bigger than 53mm...on my ventures, loose, I wheelbite like mad with 53s (wide conicals).

ML I went 51mm

It's odd but I've always matched truck mm height to wheel mm height, rounding up when needed. No method, just madness.

49mm truck = 50mm wheels
52mm truck = 52/53mm (the exception here is I can run 52mm ACE with 54mm with no problems)
53.5mm truck = 53
55mm truck 54/55/56

Found a site selling some Tensors, is there any difference between these 2 models? One of them has the "NEW ALL TERRAIN GEOMETRY" the other just says "ALL TERRAIN GEOMETRY"

NEW ATG: https://thankyousupply.com/collections/tensor-trucks/products/tensor-new-black-mag-light-skateboard-trucks?variant=31351123640383
ATG: https://thankyousupply.com/collections/tensor-trucks/products/ten-mag-light-red?variant=14610539249727

Aside from the little logo over the black / white variants on the truck.

Last question before I pull the trigger, 5.25 or 5.5 for 8-8.25 boards? thankyousupply, tactics and skatewarehouse are giving me mixed answers. I'm riding 8.0 with Thunder 147 right now, looking to size up to 8.18 - 8.25 in the near future. So I'm looking for a size that will give me versatility on more sizes.
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m
