Been clean for a year, and yeah it's hard and takes a lot of work and effort to stay clean but it was worth spending 8 months of my life to get on track. Most addicts are still trying to figure out if they can get high and have no one notice at 30 days in.

I’ve been to treatment for past addiction issues. There are certain suggestions for people in early recovery, usually at the direction of those who have your best interest at heart. Aka a solid support group/sponsor. Some of those suggestions might include, don’t go to bars, don’t hang around toxic people who still do crime and most importantly, don’t get stupid tattoos across your face that you are going to regret. Andy Roy signed a board for me once. I was pretty stoned at a wolfbat art show years ago and him & gerwer were smoking a cig out front, away from everyone. I was leaving early by myself and they were posted on the street. Both of em were cool as hell to me, chopped it up a bit/signed my board etc. They were down to earth & regular good people.

The town cut corners by reducing the scale, making it improbably tight and then plopped it onto the side of a slope, rendering it a flow-free zone. This from the recollection of my one time there, as I swore I’d never return. Place makes crappy, dated, little Alameda seem like paradise by comparison.
