Anyone have  multiple pairs of any polar pants? I want another pair of 93’s and while the size I have fits good I kind of can’t believe a size 30 waist is my size. It seems like their sizing is way off.
[close]

im a true 30 waist and wear 28s, they fit me pretty perfectly and i hem the length with my own sewing machine . their sizing is way off. i account for the actual size being 2” bigger than tagged and take it from there
[close]

Thanks for the help 👍 there sizing is definitely off.
[close]

good luck, cords shrink a lot btw so mind how u wash them. btw i have 2 brand new pairs of size 30 for sale. mid wash and dark wash

Ordered some 93 cords that were on sale. I hope they fit well. If they fit the same as my other 2 polars I’m convinced they are all basically the same size from 30-34. Ordered a 32 when my 30 and 34 fit the same.

gap quality has been dog shit with my recent exp
but for $20… that price might be right

Good skate jeans spoiled me. Even the Levi’s I was checking out today are so cheap and thin compared what I wear now. Can’t buy any of that crap anymore.

Anyone know of anything that has a similar silhouette as the Polar 93? I love the fit/bagginess/taper but I need something in a 38/40 size range. The Polar 36 size is just a bit too snug.

Been running the Huf Cromers and I like them, but they might be just a touch too baggy for my tastes these days.

I recently bought some Levi's 568 and I would say they fit pretty much the same. The fabric of the Levi's is a bit thicker tho, felt too hot to skate em in summer but really good quality.

And the sizing, I would say a Polar in 32 is a Levi's in 33/34. But it's hard to know, the Polar fit has been all over the map recently, I have some 93! in 32 and some 34 that pretty much fit the same. And some Big boys in M that are too small when other fit nicely...

If you got a GF that can sew: these were made from an old bed sheet and elastic band. Super light and comfortable and cheap. Can even sew a button on the front and they look pretty finished. You can make them as baggy as you want

maybe check out the uniqlo wide tapered jeans. i'm 5'7 and have the medium size (30-33" waist) and they're pretty perfect - they meet my shoes perfectly without being too baggy and i don't have to cuff them either. big range of sizes and the taper at the bottom isn't extreme. they're pretty thin and i haven't skated them much so can't speak on their durability though.

I’ve been sizing up 2” on Levi’s 505’s regular straight fit. I do have to wear a belt but they feel and look good imo. Not too baggy like a 550 and no taper like a 560. I bought mine at thrift stores but you can usually find them in store or online at Levi’s or Macys.

3 polar pants I have. Top is a size 30w 93’s. Middle is a 32w 93 cords and the bottom is a 34w 89’s.

The size 32 waist is the tightest by quite a bit but still fit me. The 30 and 34 are basically the same size. Perhaps maybe the cords are more true to size and the denim is far more forgiving.

Y’all are gonna laugh, but my girl got me a pair of these for like, 17.50 and for that price they’re dope. I’m 5’7 so they’re a little baggy on legs. But they’re comfy and I wear them for work and skating \_(ツ)_/¯

Might be weird for me to plug this, but we just released Mike Anderson's collection, and his pants are pretty fucking sick.
Mike had them designed to be true to waist, but taper out to the knee and then go straight leg knee down. They're baggy, most skate shops should have them.

Shame the French site only has the 32" length ones:

Also sucks they are more expensive here, but 75 euro is grand.

I mean I respect Dickies and NB for seeing skaters rocking their shit and deciding to make stuff for us. Don’t think it’s weird to share this at all. Wondering how the sizing is though. The non-skate Dickies I have seem pretty tts, but vanity sizing is real and crops up where you may not expect it.

They're good quality for sure. Not super baggy though, I would call them more of a Straight Fit.  the fabric is pretty "tough" for lack of a better term. Similar to Carhartt workwear fabric, almost canvas-like feeling to it. Seems very durable but I definitely prefer comfier denim. I'm not mad I bought them but I'm going with another style for my next pair.

Remember this ad in mags from the 90's all showing the  505, 550, and 560

I've ben on the 550 ( size up ) for a while while skating, thrifted some 560's but ended up selling them, too baggy for me now, but in the 90's it was my go to. True to size 505 if I have to dress up and wear some boots.
