curious to know what boards you guys are going to redrill.....im thinking of doing the creature stumps 8.8 with a 14" wb.

only think i worry about redrilling is ending up with a crazy long nose but it shouldnt be the case for this shape

Anyone who ordered the wknd MP shape got an update? Getting really tempted to pull the trigger on one. Really like the look of the shape but also really do not need another board right now

Just set up mine going skating today I’ll report back. Nose is pointier than the boards I’ve been on, Square shapes, but not crazy pointy like a baker. I’m looking forward to skating it. Pics from the set up thread:

Stoked to try this one out.

Yeah the top pic looks great: perfect shape. All of that flat!??! With ventures. So good.

This tool also looks interesting.

Definitely gonna swoop up the 1/4 one when they release. I’m also curious on the sheet that comes with it. I started reading what was shown on the Insta and it was talking about just moving one truck on and the pros and cons of moving just one truck in. Which is the kind of nerdery I want to read.

they emailed me this last night. i opted for the 1/4” in increments instead. kudos to them for reaching out tbh

Damn that is solid of them to reach out like that

Splitting hairs, but wheelbase on a deck should actually be called truckbase. True wheelbase is the distance between the centers of the wheels, which changes depending on what trucks you ride, and will actually be in the 17"+ range.

I just ordered the 1/4" version, planning to just use it on the boards I have on hand, so some 8.5 Quasi and FA boards.

Reading that disclaimer though about the 1/4" version wonder if I'd be better off with the 3/8" version.

I got the 1/4" version. The notice about the integrity of going less than 3/8" got me kind of second guessing myself, but 1/2" is hardly more. I am going to use it on my Cody Chapman Uma toenail, bring the WB in 1/2" to make it 13.875".

my big bunyip shaped board. 8.5 with 14.5in wb. gonna shorten the wheelbase to 14in. should give a whole new feel to it

I’m confused on the 3/8. So if you have a 14.5 wb and bring it in 3/8 on one side you end at 14.125  which sounds amazing. But that’s only one truck. If you brought both in that’s 13.75wb. So if you only move one truck in that 3/8.  Would you bring in the nose or tail in? Would that throw anything off? I really want one but I can’t wrap my head around if it would mess me up. But the 1/4 one I understand if you have 14.5wb bring each side in .250 and you end with a 14wb.

its up to you, really. for me, the nose on the board i plan to do it on feels rather short so im gonna bring it in a bit. just be careful if you get the 0.25in tool because its recommended to have atleast 0.375 of space in between the holes.

Update on the WKND 14in WB/8.5

Had my first session yesterday. Gotta say I really like the board, it feels easier to maneuver real snappy. Flip tricks definitely felt easier. I landed like 10-15 360 flips which is usually too much effort for me to bother with. I managed to film a line too which was an added bonus.

I brought this home today.  Anti-Hero Beach Bum.  9.5" x 30.44", 14.2" wb.

Has anyone here mentioned the shaped Dan Drehobl Krooked boards?  They're 9.25" x 31.8", 14.25" wb.  They haven't been in the collections for several seasons now.  I hope Krooked produces more soon.

Amazing slide marks. This has sold me on the board. Hoping one of the shops where I live gets them otherwise shipping will be a bit expensive :/

I know 8.5 isn't wide, but it's what I skate. hadn't paid much attention to different wheelbases until I got the madness here and decided that 14.5 was what worked for me... that is until I skated a 14.25 for a few weeks. Now I can't pop my brand new polar 8.5 14.5 WW for shiieeeeeeet. I reckon that's called ghost pop?
Well-defined ambiguity, I'm already on somebody's list as a casualty

IF you live in the US they have free shipping over $120, so I just bought 2. I think they are just online right now, not sure if shops have them. Maybe if they sell a lot this drop? Pure speculation no facts backing that up.

hard to ignore everything when that ugly ass mall graphic is right in the middle. real makes great boards but their graphics can be so bad sometimes.

Fixed that for ya, those are my dream dimensions on a 8.25 especially with Ventures.
JK - the 8.5 dimensions look interesting too, wouldn't mind sizing up at that length and WB.

Will they still do full SE board or are these the replacement of those?

Finally we’re getting more 8.5 sub 14.25 wb decks. Looking forward to trying out that new real shape. Hopefully other dlx brands carry it too

In case anyone slept on the wknd MP deck like I did when released and missed it, they just restocked them. Copped the zooted deck to hopefully give me that 1999 feel.

Just got the Chems 3/8” WB mod tool. Testing it out on a 8.5 FA, 14.25 WB drilled the nose back 3/8” making it 13.875 WB. My ventures covered the old holes invade anyone was wondering. I plan to skate it tomorrow

Curious to hear what your nollies/switch poppers off the nose will be like now that the beak is longer and FA's noses are so goddamn steep - I wonder if it will make them easier... Report back pls.

Just ordered the 3/8 tool. I'm redrilling a Deathwish steep concave board with a 14.25 WB. The tail has about 1.5 fingers of flat and I have Venture highs on it, so I'm getting ghost pop like crazy. Kickflips are so inconsistent.

Going to redrill the tail only and that'll bring my wheelbase in to 13.875. Stoked.

There really should be a greater variety of wheelbases. I'm 5'7 with relatively short legs, even for my height. I tend to ollie and do flip tricks with my feet closer together than most people so even a 14.25 WB feels long.

Really excited to hear about how the boards feel after drilling the wheel base back.

Especially pros/cons of just doing nose or just the tail
