i’d recommend. Another user was skating a few in a row too. Come with extra laces, fit a bit long like all converse, the suede piece of liner holds your heel in so well, best of any shoe that I can remember. Nice lightly padded tongue, good overall shape. Got these for $25 from Converse.com during a sale. total steal

Are they meant for skating? Read they are a single piece of leather or something like that.

Hmm idk exactly, I’m gonna skate them tho. But these days I do a lot of shit that doesn’t really damage shoes much; like shuv it’s with no pop. I am gonna super glue the little bit of stitching it has by the ollie area.
Do these feel the same puffiness as other Accel OG's? I'm not personally into the whole one piece shoe thing, but they do look like they have a nicer shape than some Accel's I have as chillers.

amazing where your rips are, are your ollies and kickflips that far apart in foot placement?

Any experiences with the new Vans insole? I don't skate anymore, but the ultracush insoles make my back hurt when I wear the shoes. How are the new ones different?
After one apocalyptical Target visit in the slip on pros, followed by one 40 minute carpet back roller balance session. They are the best insoles I've ever skated. Just kidding, I did land a shove it on a back roller which I definitely thought was impossible. I'll report back on a serious note when I get these half cabs in the streets.
Man the long board truck thing killed indy for me. I was willing to set aside the racism, but long boarding, gtfo... - DH

They are fully a medium between the accel OG and the Accel slim. I’ll upload a pic for you to see.

Ah thanks for the picture! I'm not crazy then, they look way slimmer.
If ES started making the OG Accel in that shape I'm sure they would sell really well. They could actually be a dunk replacement in the times of lottery tickets and lines for shoes. Currently, they're just a little too much for me.

Got these for $35 and cleaned them up and switched the insoles (Sb zoom insole drops in perfectly, but I used a dr scholl’s type for more arch). The toe cap is a firm nubuck-type and they crease like a fold in the forefoot, but like all 1’s they flick so damn good.

That's how I felt.  The tongue was just too puffy.  The OG's already feel big enough, the tongue made them just borderline obscene.  Liked the thicker sole and ankle collar.  Cut the tongue open with an exacto knife at the very top.  Pulled the foam out and made a longitudinal cut.  Stuffed it back in and stitched the tongue up. Half as puffy, and way more comfortable (to me anyway).  Have two more pair to do this to, down the road.

Yeah, this is awesome.
I tried this with an old pair of Ipaths a long time ago, and did it way too sloppy but this looks good!
It's kind of crazy that Kelly or whoever else at ES can put those on their feet and think their fine being that puffy.

Johnes,

So @sneaksonthemind sends y’all puffy shoes to wear then you send them back to him... ? “Shoe daddy?” That’s pretty strange dog.

EDIT:I took down @sneaksonthemind’s insta post I linked because, despite how hilarious it was... maybe we can get a few posts in on this page without gratuitously puffy shoes.

This is a weird world.

That’s one of the people. He has never said the words shoe daddy(none of them have), but typing that out makes me laugh and I think it sounds creepy in a funny way so I have been casually using the term.
3 dif dudes have bought me shoes so far.
But sometimes I sell those guys my old shoes In exchange for new shoes for me to keep(like they just pay shipping for my old shoes and instead of paying $20 for the actual used shoes, they just order me new ones from skate websites for me to keep. But sometimes it’s new shoes for me to send to the person eventually once they are old and worn out.

I agree it’s pretty strange but I make no judgments on what other people are into, if it’s mutually beneficial, then hey why not, ya know?

Posted these before when they were new but just started skating these spanky g6s. Had a couple of 2 hour sessions, tons of kickflips each. Loving them although the lace protection is crap. Have a feeling I'm gonna go through a lace a session which is a bumer. They are great otherwise.
[close]
sick. Still want a pair. How’s the cushion - anything comparable? Fit/shape similar to other Emerica/wino slips?
[close]
They have the same sole as the reynolds g6 so the cushion is great. The shape is like a slightly wider romero laced shape (never had the winos but probably wider than that). I could imagine it being too wide for someone with super narrow feet but its perfect for my medium width feet. If you want a super basic upper with a thicker sole, these are your shoes.

I'm currently skating the Spanky G6 too. The thin upper with level of cushioning in the sole is such a good combo. I messed around in photoshop and made a higher cut version. Would be my perfect shoe.
