Newest idea: two part/deck series

Cy and Paul, Whooping it Up
Idea came from staring at my beer wall (I've been collecting the side panels of premium and small batch beers for the past 4 years, and use them as a boarder on the walls in my living room and kitchen cause I like the art on them.)
Thanks SmuttyNose!

Can you post a pic of that?  Do you mean from a six pack box or what?  Sounds like a cool idea i'll never do, but would like to see what it looks like.  Thanks.
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?

Sure, but its gonna be a doozy. i just counted with one of those click counters, and I have 143 up on my walls currently, and 15 more sitting on top of the refrigerator cause I ran out of ceiling boarder space in my apartment.
Heres the ones in my kitchen (use right click/control click and hit view image so you can see the whole thing easier than on this post)

and heres the living room (again, view image. thing is fucking long.)

And heres the board I'm working on! im gonna distress the white paint on the board in a little bit, and then use these T-shirt Iron on print-outs of my old buddy CN (who's an occasional Slap'ite) centered up. I'm thinking then after that, I'm going to do some details along the boarder, and it should be a done deal. I decided I'd organize all the supplies I'm using to make it in a more appealing way.

Update: The transfers didn't work this time around. I've gotten them to work in the past, but I think this time around I was either using too much heat, or not enough, or not for long enough.
anyways, it still looks like a cool textural thing on the deck. Time to re-tool this one.

Vyvance/adderall, after smoking a fair amount earlier in the day, is an AMAZING thing for my productivity.

Hey Sweatercuff,
Is this one of yours?
It was on the Berrics, in the Let It Roll feature.

yup, thats mah Cabinet.
Kinda bummed I didn't have 2 new boards in there to show off, but they caught me by surprise.
I didn't even know we were getting a feature on their site. Still cool though.

psyched with how this print came out after my printer "jammed". I'm using that goat for a board graphic right now, but I think I might frame this and hang it somewhere.

Made this piece from an old picture of my girlfriend. It was my first attempt at using a dremel, and threading all that string at the bottom of the scarf was a pain in the ass. But I'm happy with the piece.

and heres a little pre-view at my next two boards.

Finished up this goat cruiser. decided to keep the overall design pretty simple.

and made this one
the cabinet drawing is actually carved into the board with a dremel and then colored red.

I'm currently exploring options for selling my stuff online, but I'm not ready to do that just yet, cause im having enough trouble keeping the cabinet at the shop stocked, nevermind having enough to merit setting up an online store to sell the excess creations.

I mean, i guess we could kick it old school and you could just mail me a check and i could mail you a board, 1 on 1, mano e mano, pen to paper, stamp to letter, check to bank, board to box, truck to your front door.
Lemme know if you see one that I post on here that you want, and maybe we can working something out.

So good!
I fully agree! thats a real work of useable art.
whenever I visit my friend back in New Hampshire, we always hit the rough new england streets with little mini cruisers like that, and damn, if one of us had that lil guy, they'd surely be promoted to leader of the pack.

Sweatercuff also blows my mind! If you make it possible to buy over the interwebs, i would love to buy one.

Thanks for the kind words man!
as for the internet purchasing goes...
still working on that, and it doesn't look like I'll hit my goal of having some kind of online shop for the new year.
It's really, really hard to build up stock and stay motivated and inspired to make things when you're selling them but not turning any kind of real profit also. The one-of-a-kind market is brutal.
thank god I have a day job.

Haha thanks, it's a tricky board to handle.  There's hardly room for both of my feet and it's a little slippery without grip, but it's really fun to ride on a nice day.

I cut another old board tonight.  This one is for my friend who goes to art school, so he wants to paint it once I drop it off to him. I'm curious to see what he paints. I'll post a picture once he finishes.

As far as the cut, I gave this one with a rounder nose and a slight dovetail to experiment with the shapes I can make.

If you want really crisp stencil work use Elmers spray adhesive to stick the paper stencil to the board.  It will prevent under-spray. Also, mask the rest of your board with paper, so you don't get spray paint where you don't want it (like the guy in the tutorial).

Latest Rug Roller made for sir Karl Watson. Pretty happy with the way it turned out. It's got wheel wells, and the red and purple are mixed with just a hint of bronze/gold paint, to give it a little illuminated effect.

and this is what I did with the Walker Ryan board he mailed me, which I plan to skate.

Only took maybe 45 minutes total. The "AYO" was a happy accident I noticed after sanding.
