Reshaped and acetone transferred.?  I'm thinking of making wooden rails for it.

I know they're on trend right now but isn't the whole point of rails that they are not wood?

Yeah but think of how interesting they'd look especially if they're the same stain as the deck

Dude! Sick work as always, Carlos Young inspiration can lead to no wrong.

Was thinking about buying a wood burning tool, what do you recommend?

nah, just get any ol' woodburner. you can get a bunch of tips, but you'll find that you'll mostly favor one and hardly ever use the others
remember to be extremely careful with it though. just cause its not a flame doesn't mean it won't burn your tablecloth up REALFAST

and here's a Magenta I recently altered and set up to skate

this is awesome. i love how you always take an already pretty sick deck then make it 10 times sicker. have you ever posted them on instagram and had the company comment on the alteration? i think it would be cool to hear what they think.

I dont ALWAYS remix graphics, and they don't ALWAYS turn out sicker either, but thanks a bunch for the compliments.
Yeah, Magenta and Soy himself both liked the Venus of Willendorf board, and that most recent one^

never really heard anything from Sieben about the Roger remixes, other than getting a replacement for the first one I snapped and maybe a Like or two on insta, so maybe he wasn't really into them (OR maybe he just has better things to do than award me approval and stroke my ego)

TheKillingFloor said they'd wanna see me reinterpret one of their boards, but leaving a comment and shipping a box are two very different levels of seriousness, and I'm not sure how serious they were being.

Decided to have a go, wasn't happy with this AH graphic. Stripped back, stained, ink transfer and a shitty stencil job.

I've doodled on a few decks myself, didn't know there was a thread for it till now. Tons of great stuff on this thread, boys! These are from my instagram;

this last one here was a gift for a friend who subsequently sent it off to malto himself. it made a cameo on his epicly later'd, thought that was pretty rad.

How'd you secure those on? I tried doing it with the ones that come with regular rails but they broke and the rail split into pieces.

try predrilling some pilot holes if you didn't. that'd be my best guess.

I used wood glue because I'm probably not going to skate it.

I think I'll give it another try on the next board I do.  I'll probably glue it and use some baby screws after drilling pilot holes and counter sinking the rails.

i wanted to ask you, how much have you found your montanacan's for?
I'd love to give them a try, they seem top of the line from what I can tell, but I've still yet to see them in person.

I usually get them from Blick or Blue Rooster (local guys) they're amazing paints. Really high quality, great coverage, low pressure, etc...The stock tips are good too, but I'd suggest getting a pack of them, NY slims are my go to.
They run about $7-8 a can though. Not cheap, but you're paying for good quality.
MTN are sick too. They have a transparent line I'm stoked on. Costs about the same, but they're harder to find.

7 bucks seems a little steep? it's Spanish Montana not German though right? I used to get it for 4 bux a can, I guess times have changed. I think you can still order Ironlak (which I find to be a good paint with lots of nice colors) for about 4 dollars a can.

Never used Ironlak, I want to though. The biggest advantage to the Montanas is I can get them that day.
I use a ton of OSH generic for my work though. I do a lot of greyscale stuff and the white, black and grey primer they carry is rad. And its like $2.50 a can.
I gotta get me some Ironlak though, fo sho.

I'd give you a couple cans if you're in my area. I live in the sticks though so that's probably not happenin' unless you're a stick dweller yourself. I like the pressure on em a lot more than MTN hardcore though.
