We’re good on both ends, both of us were professional in the emails yall chill lol just expressing my frustration on the slaps. Regardless I’ll surely get refunded but they did dodge my question and I can assume that either maybe inventory was wrong, or something maybe actually did get damaged, idk. You wait all year for some good deals and bam the whole thing blows up ya know. Guess it was too good to be true.

I’m old too, we’re all old, it’s all fine. Stick to supporting the local when you can. Always

This did get me curious too, no hate / shame or anything, but what did you order?

I have had some things look like the box got run over or water damaged but thankfully what was inside was still fine, but I have seen and heard of other things getting messy when they are dropped or a storm hits at the wrong time and the box got soaked, so they sticky taped the box and it barely made it to the destination intact, or they had tried to shrink wrap another order after half the stuff inside had already fallen out.

Just part of the fun of the "delivery service" once the order had left the shop.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Anybody else get the Sci-Fi Fantasy email about their archive sale?  I don't recall giving my email there.  Curious if it is legit.

I'll add another positive review for Blue Flowers. I received my sale order no problem.

Also want to shout out Orchard in here. They wound up not actually having one of the items I ordered during the black friday sale, and they took the time to look into it and email me with very favorable (to me) options, instead of just cancelling and refunding. Who says skaters can't be good at customer service?!

I as well had no issues with my Blue Flowers shipment (other than the sweatshirt I ordered suddenly not being available after I purchased it, they still gave me free shipping though), but overall everything was great!

Props to Orchard too, great shop and great people.

I got it and ordered a couple things. It links to their Shopify account at checkout  (which I’ve ordered from in the past) so I think it’s fine.

it was some polar skate clothing. Expensive stuff that doesn’t hit the sales rack often especially the new released button up shirts that go for $140+, I got multiple of those and some polar pants for basically 50% off entire price. Sure I came off silly on here and many have defended BF and I’m glad! I want no ill will for them. But they did admit they did not pack my items in a shrink wrap or plastic wrap and they just put the items in a blank mailing envelope with no protection and then it got absolutely destroyed with water damage somehow. They sent me a pic and everything and refunded me. Again I was purely being silly on here because you wait all year long for a dope sale and then it slams in your face haha. S happens I get it but for example when I sell things on depop that don’t have a plastic wrap, I always just put it in a bag or wrap them before I package them in an envelope or box. Feel like if they did this, I wouldn’t have had an issue :( oh well

You might want to check as the previous ones were BBS, but the newer ones people have said are from China.  That said, the people that bought them do think they are a good solid board, so make of that what you will.

From the Woodshop thread:

I just got an UMA pro model from their latest drop and it is china made. Has laser etched top with logo and dims.

The newest drop from uma was china for me bought in US. Same exact sticker as the dlx china one recently pictured.

Honestly for how soggy some bbs has been for me lately, I can’t wait to try out the uma

Edit: sticker is not the same, just looked and the Uma has their own logo origin/warning sticker

Regretfully that has been my experience too, the past few Habitat Twins I rode were from China but the current one is from BBS. Started a touch less stiff than the China ones but 2 weeks in and it's start to flex and feel soggy. The ones from China usually last me 6 weeks, I'll be surprised if the BBS ones makes it a month.

Got his on the Black Friday sale from here.

The description is vague, but it does say a variety of surprises, I was truly surprised today when I received this:

They ran $100 off of $200 sale, shipping was $10.

How would you value this? Looks like $35 worth of Lakai socks, keychain, hockey brand mask. Plus dirty vans shirt and scratched quasi board.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yeah, especially if they don't tell you how many and what kind. at least baker will tell you how many boards are in it. this is a straight up scam they could put one pair of socks in it and you'd be out of luck.

Just got mine and the same damn thing.  1 deck,  a hockey Covid mask, 1pr sock , 1 vans shirt.  That’s it.  Shit is a bust and have to assume the shop is going under to rip people off like this. It’s maybe 100$ worth of shit.  This is my last union order.

right, mystery boxes are overstock if you're lucky, but usually, just the stuff that didn't sell.

I didn't pull the trigger on it, but Primitive had one going for shirts and one for hoodies.  At least then (like with boards) you know you're getting a certain number of shirts in whatever size you pick. The "box of random crap" seems never to be worth it.

Bummer, I got one of these coming.  Guess it's good to know what to expect, but definitely messed up to claim this is the $200 box.

My condolences, but this is pretty bad

Imagine wearing a vans tee with lakai socks. I’d pay 100 bucks to not. I’m second hand sad. Officially worst of sale gear thread

Damn, talk about fucking over your core remote customer by calling that $200 worth of goods for half off.  Mark them as a shop I'll never support when my local doesn't have something.

I know I’ve heard union is generally good people which I don’t doubt but I will say I’ve done two different deck orders and we’ll over half of the boards I’ve gotten from them have been warped. I don’t care too much warped boards don’t bother me but I did think it was odd. Both times ordered five decks. First time 3/5 and second time 4/5 were warped.
