There are three graying, bearded men in white lab coats currently passing themselves off as the real Paul Schmitt.
Decks have always been about the same price, right? Until recently.....
I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless."That guy is double parked.""Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?
if youre out skating and you have ripped laces, just go into the athletic wear section of the closest department store selling clothes. Find some sweatpants with a drawstring and take that drawstring out to re-lace your little CTAs. Now you dont need to go buy shoe laces and can get back to filming your IG clip.

If boards went along with inflation the same board that cost $40 in 2000 should cost $58.36 in today's dollars. Also, I can't find a simply commodity trading chart that shows the cost of maple on the market over the past 30 years, but this info has to be somewhere. (This is the best I could find, but was published in 2006, so it is a bit dated https://pubag.nal.usda.gov/download/2928/PDF.)

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year
Not sure if this has been a post, but I got a pretty good one. Came up with it while super high.Decks have always been about the same price, right? Until recently.....Back in the 80’s, boards were super wide. And then as the late 90’s came around, they started getting more and more narrow. Using less wood. Hence the same price around $50 per deck. Not until recently have decks started to go up to about $55, maybe $60 if it had foil or it’s a slick or something.Boards are also a lot wider now.Companies deliberately started making boards smaller to use less wood and keep the price point at around $50 to keep up with inflation. And now the trend is wider boards which use more material, so the price point is now going up.If this trend continues for the foreseeable future, we’ll see boards rise above $60. If we’re to keep that $55 price point, we’ll start seeing cheaper made boards across the board, or the trend of smaller decks will come back.I hope I didn’t trip anyone out too bad.

The skateboard industry has meticulously hidden the fact that the Gonz is “intellectually disabled.” It was right under our noses this whole time...
