Anyone here have any experience with the Bruin Hyperfeel?
[close]
They felt terrible - worst insole I've ever seen - sent them back.
[close]

Gave mine away too. I don't think they were as terrible as everyone else seems to, but the idea of all the structure coming from the insole rather than the actual shoe was just too weird and I couldn't get used to them. I did like how pliable and grippy the sole was, so I think with a bit more structure and more traditional design they would have been really good.

Anyone try a strangelove deck yet? I'm interested in the 8.25 bird in a bush or wolf boy slick but was curious about the shape and how flat they are. It's always hard to tell from pictures but it kind of looked like similar to a toy machine mellow, is that accurate?

I’ve had a few. Top co. for me, in many ways, especially love the graphics.
Mine is 8”, flat, good amount of fingers of flat, PS. Has held up

Anyone ever buy griptape by the roll? Griptape in Asia is really pricey ($12 a sheet) and the market is flooded with MOB or Grizzly even though its from China. Thinking of getting an entire roll so I don't have to worry about ordering individual sheets since some online retailers don't include grip.

Spitfire f4 60mm or 58 mm classics. the thing is they are like 50 bucks where i live

I've found F4's to be much better than the classics. I had one set for over a year and I do a lot of tailslides and bluntslides.

Wanting to get a few sets of pants from Televisistar, couple of the filmer jeans and maybe some cord pants. All the product on there looks amazing, maybe not the most durable, but it looks comfy and stylish as fuck. I wish I could afford a whole wardrobe of that shit haha

straye is doing 50% off site wide.

Has anyone skated their stuff? What is sizing like? Is it even worth buying?

If you care about your feet stay away from that crap.

I've been skating the plain black and white slip ons (Ventura) for about a month and theyre a much nicer and more comfortable fit than vans slip on pros, not tight but not loose, and so far I think theyre holding up well, just as durable as vans if not more. I did have to swap out the insole for the vans ultracush, but i do that with most shoes anyway.

soo.. yeah. I've been wondering about vans anaheim sid dx shoes (the regular ones). These are not pro(although there is a pro model of them but its not avilable). Do the regular ones make the cut(will they last a month or so)?

I got a pair of those in pink, they feel pretty decent to skate in, only did once though coz I decided to keep them as nice shoes. But I think really the only difference between those and a pro model is just the insole it comes with, and I just stuck a set of ultracushs in, and also maybe that it doesn't have aglets for the lace holes, but thats a plus coz I could microwave them. Theyre suede and the ollie guard is as thick as most pro models, so if you just swap out the insoles they should last as long as a vans pro shoe
Dude just pop...

Polar just updated their site with new boards. New Shin board with wheel wells but no more surf shapes yet it seems
personally I can only hope to be remembered in a slap post three years after my death, with my name spelled wrong

My trucks work decently but they get weird as hell for no good reason, thinking of buying bones bushings to use until I can afford a pair of Indys or Thunders.

Surf pants

It depends what you'll be wearing them for, if you're going to be skating in them, I'd personally pass.  Nice pants to relax around the house in, but for skating they are almost 'too light'. Also anything and everything will stick to them, so you got to use a roller to clean them basically anytime you wear them.

Anyone try the Baker ‘OG Shape’ mellow concave boards ? What is it comparable to ?

In 20 years of skating this might be my first Baker deck.

Some gear that caught my attention as I was starting to reel myself back in from buying more...
8.5" Full SE Mason Real decks (one of my favorite shapes from DLX)
Emerica Pillar (gives me Emerica Hsu Mid vibes for some reason :'( lol)
NB# 1010 in black preferably, but the Axion Mariano color goes too!
Bones Swiss 6 (seeing more people running these than before has me interested)

Same, local parks either have waist high rails or decent height rails with zero run up. If you're looking to splurge check out Transformer Rails. They go from ledge to flat bar to rail all in 1 compact package.

very much enjoying modern alien shapes.  you are correct, big nose and tail but very functional.

I just finished skating one after 3-4 weeks and the wood/shape was solid the whole time. Nose was fairly square/full but the tail was stubby and not long at all. Not to be a dick, but I don't see how the AWS have long, big tails? Unless my 8.5" shape differed from other shapes that do have this longer tail?
Quite similar to FA/Quasi crom what I can tell, but not as steep. Definitely the shortest tail I've skated lately, but I didn't mind it once I broke the board in. It wasn't painfully short like those horrible WKND tails...

I assume you're in Malaysia; I'm from South East Asia and I would be careful when buying Spitfire wheels since there are lots of counterfeits being sold on ebay, Taobao, Aliexpress and even some shops in KL. The fake ones are white instead of off-white and looks like these:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000805451624.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.468652ddSfexUk&algo_pvid=bc3e5351-0df2-42e3-8dcf-2734e612c7b0&algo_expid=bc3e5351-0df2-42e3-8dcf-2734e612c7b0-0&btsid=0ab6fb8315970565000441711e6c29&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

Not sure how they compare to regular F4 but I would not pay 50 USD for counterfeits. Maybe if they were 1/2 that I would try a pair but not at the current price.
